For me, it's an ideal city car.

2013-2018 Acura ILX Trim Configurations

2013-2014 Trims

The Acura ILX is still a relatively new release and is in its first generation of production, which began in 2012 for the 2013 model year in North America. Throughout its several years of production, however, the ILX has gone through numerous changes and redesigns. Most notably, its trim and package options have changed significantly from the first year of production to today. For the 2014 model year, Acura responded to the demand for more standard equipment by adding 17-inch wheels, a power driver seat, heated front seats, and even leather upholstery as standard features. For the Acura ILX 2015, perhaps the most notable change was that the Acura ILX hybrid version was completely discontinued.

  • 2.0 Base - includes 17-inch wheels, sunroof, leather upholstery, and full power accessories with 2.0-liter engine
  • 2.0 Premium - same features as 2.0 base trim, but adds on xenon headlights, a rearview camera, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror
  • 2.0 Technology - same features as the 2.0 Premium trim, but adding navigation, voice commands, a larger display, and an upgraded 10-speaker sound system
  • 2.4 Base -includes 17-inch wheels, sunroof, leather upholstery, and full power accessories with a 2.4-liter engine
  • 2.4 Premium -same features as 2.4base trim, but adds on xenon headlights, a rearview camera, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror
  • Hybrid - includes16-inch wheels, full power accessories, sunroof, and 1.5-liter engine with electric motor and lithium-ion battery

2015 Trims

  • 2.0 Base - automatic headlights, heated mirrors, keyless entry/ignition, heated front seats, and leather upholstery with a 2.0-liter engine.
  • 2.0 Premium - same features as the 2.0 base trim, but with xenon headlights, satellite radio, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
  • 2.0 Technology - same features as 2.0 Premium trim, adding on a navigation system, GPS-based climate control, upgraded sound system, and voice commands.
  • 2.4 Base - automatic headlights, heated mirrors, keyless entry/ignition, and heated front seats, and leather upholstery with 2.4-liter engine.
  • 2.4 Premium - same features as 2.4 Premium trim, but adds on a navigation system, GPS-based climate control, upgraded sound system, and voice commands.

2016-2018 Trims

For the Acura ILX 2016, the front and rear end of the vehicle were completely redesigned for a sharper and sportier look. Some other changes included the addition of standard LED headlights and a more powerful 2.4-liter standard engine (compared to the 2.0-liter base engine offered in previous model years). Some new features are also available as add-ons for this model year, including blind-spot monitoring and a multi-view back-up camera.

The Acura ILX 2017 saw no changes from the 2016 model year, but the Acura ILX2018 has a few cosmetic upgrades and new available features(including a "Special Edition" package, which includes a rear spoiler and 18 - inch wheels). In terms of Acura ILXmpg, fuel economy has improved slightly over the years. For example, the 2013 Acura ILX(base trim with 2.0 - liter engine)gets an estimated 29 mpg combined(25 city and 35 highway), compared to the 2018 ILX's 29 mpg combined (25 city and 35 highway) with base trim and 2.4-liter engine.1

  • Base - includes a sunroof, 17-inch wheels, leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, and a rearview camera
  • AcuraWatch Plus -automatic braking, a lane departure warning system, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control
  • Premium - auto-dimming rearview mirror, dual information displays, HD radio, and blind-spot monitoring
  • Premium with A-Spec - this trim includes the A-Spec package, which adds larger 18-inch wheels, a rear spoiler, and simulated-suede seat inserts
  • Tech Plus - includes an upgraded 10-speaker sound system, voice commands, and a navigation system
  • Tech Plus with A-Spec - all the features of the Tech Plus trim above, but with the added A-Spec package features, such as 18-inch wheels and a rear spoiler
