5 reasons to buy the 2017 Acura RDX

1. Smooth and balanced power

The 2017 Acura RDX’s standard 3.5L V6 engine may not stand out as a powerhouse with its 279 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque. Still, its power delivery is silky smooth, making this luxury SUV feel even more premium. You can choose from standard front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive for added grip in slippery conditions. This V6 engine is also quite thrifty, helping the RDX earn respectable EPA-estimated fuel economy numbers of 20 mpg city, 28 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined with front-wheel drive.

With all-wheel drive, these EPA-estimate fuel economy numbers fall to 19 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined.

2. Interior room to spare

The 2017 Acura RDX has plenty of room in its cabin for everyone and their cargo. It features seating for up to five occupants, and its 38.3 inches of rear seat legroom is plenty for young children, teens, and even adults. Acura also positioned the rear seat up high, giving your rear passengers great forward visibility. If you tend to load up the cargo area with groceries, sports equipment, and other large items, you’ll appreciate the RDX’s 26.1 cu-ft of cargo space with the rear seats upright and 61.3 cu-ft with them folded.

3. Long list of equipment

When shopping for a luxury SUV, you'll have certain expectations regarding features. The 2017 Acura RDX is sure to satisfy your expectations with its collection of high-end standard features. The RDX’s standard equipment includes dual-zone climate control, SiriusXM® satellite radio, ambient lighting, keyless entry with push-button ignition, a multi-view rearview camera, and so much more. Craving even more equipment? Upgrade to the available Technology package, which includes blind-spot monitors, HD Radio®, navigation, a multi-rearview camera, and a dual-screen infotainment display.

4. Available driver-assist features

The 2017 Acura RDX also has the available AcuraWatch® suite of helpful driver-assist features. This collection of features comes standard on Advance models and optional on all other RDX models. With this package installed, you'll get adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and an expanded-view driver-side mirror.

5. Combines comfort and handling

The 2017 Acura RDX is more performance-oriented than some of its competitors, so it's sure to deliver plenty of excitement. However, it's not all about handling. The 2017 Acura RDX also delivers plenty of comfort. So, you can enjoy zipping through windy roads but still enjoy a soft, smooth, and peaceful daily commute.
