5 reasons to buy the 2019 Acura RDX
1. Sharper handling

The 2019 Acura RDX comes standard with FWD, but an optional Super-Handling All-Wheel-Drive system (SH-AWD) is available for more confident handling. This system works to deliver optimum torque to the front and rear axles, as well as the right and left rear wheels, designed for sharper responses in tough road conditions, especially when cornering on wet and dry roads. The 2019 RDX is also equipped with Agile Handling Assist, which selectively uses the brakes for more precise turning responses and overall control.
2. An updated engine for 2019

Equipped with a new direct-injected and turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder, the third-generation (2019 onward) RDX is a little kinder on long journeys than the outgoing second-generation (2013–2018) RDX. With the FWD configuration, the 2019 2.0L model earns an EPA-estimated 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway (24 mpg combined), while 2018 FWD models with the larger 3.5L V6 earn an EPA-estimated 20 mpg city and 28 mpg highway (23 mpg combined).
The 2019 RDX also boasts Idle-Stop, which is designed to automatically turn off the engine when the vehicle stops and restarts it when the brake pedal is released.
3. Rich design features

Whether cruising down the highway or parked in your driveway, the RDX will garner attention with its stylish design. The 2019 crossover sports a sophisticated diamond-pentagon grille and is flanked with sparkling standard LED headlights on all models. Inside the cabin, luxury reigns supreme with perforated Milano leather upholstery on 2019 Technology models and a perforated leather-wrapped sport steering wheel with larger paddle shifters on 2019 A-Spec grades. The front row also boasts a high-deck floating center console, which provides space underneath to store electric devices, purses, charging cords, and more.
4. Innovative tech

All third-generation 2019 RDX models feature the Android-based Acura True Touchpad Interface™, which includes a 10.2-inch HD display that's paired to an intuitive touchpad for ease of use. Apple CarPlay® compatibility is also standard on all 2019 models, while Technology grades and above include a satellite-linked navigation system to help you find your way. Reverse parking is designed to feel effortless with the standard multi-angle rearview camera on all models. If you're looking for visibility, you can add a heads-up display and a surround-view-camera system to the 2019 RDX on Advance models.
5. Overflowing with space

The 2019 RDX features a redesigned platform that's built for more interior space and comfort. This includes 15 percent more second-row knee space compared to 2018 models, as well as 38 inches of adult-friendly rear-seat legroom due to the 2019 model's 2.6-inch-longer wheelbase. If you need cargo room to carry luggage or bulky items, the 2019 RDX provides up to 76.9 cubic feet of volume with the second row folded. There's even a hidden storage compartment under the cargo floor that can hold up to 1.7 cubic feet of valuables.

If you're not looking for all-out luxury, but want some great features, the Honda CR-V is an excellent choice. The trim-topping 2019 CR-V Touring includes a hands-free power liftgate and a navigation system with voice recognition for your convenience, as well as plush leather upholstery for a comfortable in-cabin experience. There are also some smart confidence-inspiring tech features on the 2019 Touring, including blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking. Utility is a strong point of the 2019 CR-V as well, with 39.2 cubic feet of trunk volume behind the rear seat, which can be folded to open up a total of 75.8 cubic feet of volume. 2019 Touring trims also come standard with roof rails for extra versatility.

If you carry a lot of extra gear and need every inch of cargo space, the five-passenger 2019 Honda Passport is worth considering. Behind the second-row 60/40-split seat is 41.2 cubic feet of storage volume, but that number climbs to 77.9 cubic feet by folding the rear row—plenty of room for camping gear or even a bicycle. Touring and Elite trims of the 2019 Passport also include a hands-free power liftgate for easy trunk access. Want to bring your recreation toys or equipment with you? Just hitch them up and go! This 2019 SUV can tow an estimated 5,000 lbs. with the 3.5L V6 and AWD when properly equipped.

The luxury-focused 2019 Acura MDX is larger than the five-passenger RDX and offers seating for seven occupants, making it a skilled family hauler. You can also have your pick from two powertrains—a 3.5L V6 across all 2019 trim levels or an optional gasoline-electric hybrid with a 3.0L V6 and three electric motors on 2019 Technology and Advance trims. The hybrid is a great option if you are looking for something greener, plus it boasts favorable EPA estimates with 26 mpg city and 27 mpg highway when equipped with standard AWD.
Available in a Base model with three package options (Standard, Technology, and Advance), the 2019 MDX offers many high-end standard features, like leather upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control, and a power liftgate on the Base model. Opting for the premium 2019 Advance trim will get you additional family-friendly features, like heated second-row captain's chairs and two additional USB ports for third-row passengers.
