About Lucid

Lucid Motors, a relative newcomer to the EV market, has swiftly built a reputation for cutting-edge technology, luxurious design, and electric range. Drawing from its experience in Formula E battery technology, the company introduced its flagship Air sedan as a 2022 model — with groundbreaking performance and fast-charging capabilities. Lucid’s focus on driver-centric features and futuristic design ensures each model delivers a seamless blend of luxury and innovation. This commitment to pushing boundaries, including advanced autonomous systems, positions Lucid as a rising star in the future of electric mobility.

Lucid FAQs

Lucid Motors offers the Lucid Air sedan, the manufacturer’s flagship vehicle, in multiple configurations, including the Pure, Touring, Grand Touring, and Sapphire trims. A second model, the Gravity SUV, will join the lineup in late 2025 in Touring and Grand Touring configurations.

The Lucid Air is available in four configurations, starting with the entry-level rear-wheel-drive Pure and followed by the all-wheel-drive versions, including Touring, Grand Touring, and Sapphire trims. The Sapphire is the Air’s high-performance model.

The most affordable Lucid model is the Air Pure. This entry-level model comes with the lowest price tag but still delivers a compelling mix of performance and range estimates.

The Lucid Touring and Grand Touring are both mid-range trim options on the Air sedan. Upgrading to the Grand Touring trim gives you more powerful motors, an extended-range battery pack, and faster charging. Horsepower and range estimates vary based on the model year you choose.

Certain trims of the Lucid Air can achieve an EPA-estimated 500-mile range. The 2025 Air Grand Touring has an EPA-estimated range of 512 miles on a full charge, which is the farthest estimated range compared to other trims.

Lucid Air vs Lucid Gravity

The Lucid Air sedan appeals to EV aficionados who appreciate quick charges, a tech-laden cabin, seating for five, and an optional hands-free driver-assist system wrapped up in a sleek, aerodynamic body. The Lucid Gravity, on the other hand, shines as the company's luxury SUV. If you need seating for seven, rear seat tray tables for kids' activities, or the option to fold the second- and third-row seats flat to accommodate a dog kennel or camping gear, you're set.

If color is your thing, the 2026 Lucid Air Sapphire only comes in one shade, a stunning metallic blue reflecting the sedan's name.
