5 reasons to buy the 2020 Mini Cooper Hardtop
1. Cheeky personality
Inside and out, the 2020 Mini Cooper Hardtop looks like retro fun. With classic-inspired looks like the round headlights, stout turbocharge engines, and a wonderful six-speed manual, the Cooper Hardtop delivers smiles every time you see it, especially behind the standard leather-wrapped wheel. If you've had a hard day at work, you’ll forget about it on the drive home.
2. Easy driver
Small vehicles make for great urban drivers, and the Mini Cooper Hardtop delivers an excellent city experience. The short wheelbase and small overhangs before/after the wheels make negotiating tight streets as easy as possible. The sharp and precise steering delivers confidence even when navigating unfamiliar urban routes and the small size makes finding a parking spot a straightforward task.
3. Tech upgrades
While it looks like a classic, the 2020 Mini Cooper Hardtop has modern tech throughout. The base sound system features six speakers, with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, plus Bluetooth® connectivity and available satellite radio with a subscription.
The optional Driver Assistance Package includes adaptive cruise control with radar and automatic parking. Other optional tech includes a seven-speed automatic transmission, automatic high beams, and LED fog lights.4. Passenger comforts
Surprisingly, for a car called “Mini,” the 2020 Mini Cooper Hardtop has impressive passenger space in the front seats. Up front, look for 40.3-inches of headroom, and a generous 41.4-inches of legroom. The seats are pleasant for a coast-to-coast road trip, and convenience features like storage cubbies, cup holders, and optional wireless charging are within easy reach. The rear 60/40 split bench seat is comfortable for kids too.
5. Punchy engine options
The 2020 Mini Cooper Hardtop offers a choice of turbocharged engine options to meet your driving needs. The base Cooper’s 1.5L three-cylinder has 134 horsepower, while the optional Cooper S engine is a 2.0L four-cylinder with 189 horsepower. Either engine is available with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. There is also the John Cooper Works GP trim with 302 horsepower, but this monster package was limited to 3,000 units worldwide.
