Professional workhorse
First introduced in 2014, the 2021 Ram Promaster 2500 marks seven years of steady cargo van innovation. Built on a light and sturdy frame, the Promaster is available in multiple styles and sizes, depending on your cargo needs. The full-sized van also comes standard with a muscular 280-horsepower V6 engine and front-wheel drive, which should help you handle all your hauling requirements. Newly available for 2021 is a suite of driver aids, including blindspot monitoring and rear cross-path detection. Whatever commercial or household work you're managing, the Ram Promaster 2500 is more than capable for the job.

5 reasons to buy the 2021 Ram Promaster 2500
1. Multiple sizes
Depending on your needs, there are multiple builds to choose from on the 2021 Ram Promaster 2500. The short wheelbase trim (136 inches) can be found with either a standard roof (66 inches) or a high roof (77 inches). While the wide wheelbase version (159 inches) comes fitted exclusively with the high roof. If your needs demand more room in the boxed hull, the wide wheelbase is a good bet since it offers 420 cu-ft of storage, which is almost 30% more room than the short wheelbase version. All that being said, the smaller model can actually handle a slightly higher payload of an estimated 4,260 lbs.
2. Suite of driver aids
The newest addition to the 2021 Ram Promaster 2500 is a suite of driver aids. There's forward collision warning, blindspot monitoring, and rear cross-path detection available. Crosswind assist is also now standard, which should help you stay on course in windy conditions. Plus, a backup camera, parking sensors, and a digital rearview mirror should make maneuvering this big van much easier.
3. Front-wheel drive
The 2021 Ram Promaster 2500 comes with front-wheel drive. This configuration makes sense on a cargo van because it reduces the load and step-in height. For a van made for loading and unloading, that means more ergonomic navigation in and out of the cab, and at the back. Plus, with the weight coming from the front, handling also improves when traction is limited.
4. Trusted engine
The 2021 Ram Promaster 2500 comes with a 280-hp 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine. That kind of power, when paired with the six-speed automatic transmission, offers 260 lb-ft of torque and an estimated 6,800 lbs of towing capacity (short wheelbase models), when properly equipped.
If you're planning to haul a trailer, look out for the optional tow hitch.5. Interior entertainment upgrades
There's a suite of tech and style perks fitted through the cabin of the 2021 Promaster 2500. A five-inch touchscreen is the infotainment centerpiece upfront. Fitted with a Uconnect® multimedia center, the center console offers you a system with Bluetooth® connectivity and hands-free calling as standard. SiriusXM® satellite radio is also available on select models, as is LED and ambient lighting in the cargo interior to support those nighttime loading sessions. Moving around the interior with ease and comfort is a priority on the Promaster 2500.
