2014 Toyota Yaris review

1. Strong fuel economy 

If you're interested in a subcompact hatchback, it may be because you want good gas mileage. And the 2014 Toyota Yaris can deliver. It'll get an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 33 mpg combined for the manual transmission, including 30 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway.

2. Roomy interior 

The 2014 Toyota Yaris is roomy enough for adults to be comfortable in either the front or the back seats. In the front seat, you'll enjoy headroom of 39.6 inches and legroom spanning 40.6 inches. In the rear, dimensions are similar with headroom of 37.6 inches and legroom of 33.3 inches.  

3. Generous standard features 

As an entry-level, subcompact hatchback, the 2014 Toyota Yaris offers a number of features as standard equipment. You'll enjoy satellite radio, HD Radio^™, Bluetooth^® connectivity, a USB port, and an audio system with six speakers. Additional optional features include cruise control, keyless entry, steering wheel audio controls, and a sport-tuned suspension.

4. Ideal for kids 

If you have kids, the 2014 Toyota Yaris provides everything you need to transport your little ones properly. Each of the outer rear seats includes a set of LATCH car-seat connectors. There's also an upper tether anchor on the rear middle seat to easily install a child's car seat. In addition, the car comes equipped with front and rear cup holders so there's always a place to store sippy cups and bottles.  

5. Plenty of storage  

A hatchback is great for carting your cargo, and the 2014 Toyota Yaris fits the bill. In the two-door version, you'll find 15.3 cu-ft of cargo space, with 15.6 cu-ft in the four-door. You can also fold down the rear seats to create more space for storing luggage, groceries, or other items.
