2024 Volvo S90 review

1. Spacious interior 

The cabin is incredibly spacious as you’d expect from a luxury sedan. Even tall passengers will be comfortable in the back with 40.4 inches of legroom. That’s almost as much as in the front where you'll find 42.2 inches of legroom. The seats are quite low but the wide door openings make it easy to get in and out. For additional comfort, heated seats are standard in the front and back.  

2. Advanced driver aids 

The 2024 Volvo S90 is full of high-tech features. As standard, you’ll get adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, a lane-keeping system, road sign information, and oncoming lane mitigation. This wealth of assistance technology gives you peace of mind no matter whether you’re on the highway or navigating tight city streets. 

3. Prioritizing passenger comfort 

As well as making the drive easier for you, the 2024 S90 also has a range of standard features that ensure everyone is comfortable. Attention to detail such as wood interior trim alongside the leather upholstery gives a luxury feel. At the same time, power rear window shades offer privacy when it’s time for your passengers to take a nap. Finally, the power-adjustable front seats offer a plush experience, allowing you to get that seating position just right for all-day comfort. 

4. All-wheel drive agility 

The standard 2024 Volvo S90 B6 has a turbocharged and supercharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine that’s supported by a 40-volt hybrid system. There’s also the option of a plug-in hybrid model — the Recharge —that pairs a 2.0L engine with a 107-kW electric motor alongside an 18.8-kWh battery. Both come standard with all-wheel drive, making the S90 very capable in poor weather or when you want to enjoy a country back road. Look for the Ultimate trim to unlock the available adaptive air suspension, which adjusts to enhance ride comfort and handling. 

5. Great entertainment features 

While there are very few physical buttons in the 2024 Volvo S90, the touchscreen is easy to use and intuitive. You can also use Google Assistant voice commands to control the functions of the vehicle, plus there’s standard Apple CarPlay^® and Android Auto^™ connectivity. The 10-speaker audio system is great but look for the available Harmon Kardon^® system if you want immersive sound.
