Very Reliable

2008 Cadillac CTS Dennis N - Woodstock, GA 09/30/2015

After 120K miles, no breakdowns or mechanical problems of any kind. I can get up to 25 MPG on the highway, but average about 22 combined. It's a quiet and composed ride. It handles very well for a car of its size. The car has started to use some oil, but it hasn't been much of a worry. The timing chain can rattle a bit at startup if the oil level is too low. Most maintenance is very easy for DIY folks, especially oil changes. The only exception to this is for headlight bulb replacement. It's not a simple DIY job, but can be done in your garage if you've got some skills. Spark plugs look difficult, but should only take an hour if you know what you're doing.

Great car, with some warts

2014 Cadillac ELR Thom C - Houston, TX 03/31/2017

Pros: * Totally quiet * Zero vibration * Top quality interior * Drop-dead gorgeous exterior * Good acceleration * Good "gas mileage" Cons: - CUE infotainment system - Acceleration could be better I bought the car because I wanted something "special" that I could use as a daily driver. The ELR meets or exceeds those requirements in almost every way. I've had grand touring cars for almost my entire driving career and this one is the best. The Cadillac CUE infotainment system is terrible. What it lacks in ergonomics and user-friendliness it more than makes up for in unreliability. But all current Cadillacs are burdened with CUE... don't hold it against the ELR, a great car in every other way
