All I can say about this vheicle is BE READY TO GET RID OF IT ONCE YOUR WARRANTY EXPIRES! This status symbol is ALL LOOKS and NO Value. I purchased one thinking I was going to keep it forever..but it has literally been in and out of the shop at least 7 times for everything from starting issues...odom stopped working.. front end castor bolt coming loose.... AC actuator went out TWICE (2 summers in a row) ..and center console started to peel because of a bad batch of paint during manufacturing. Google these issues, you will see they are very common in Cadillacs...especially the electrical and intermittent starting issues. My problems started just a few months after purchase. What's sad is a lot of the issues are known defects that the buyer is not made aware of by the manufacturer. Please do your homework on these first. Talk to some other owners and honest mechanics. You will see. Thank God for the manufactures warranty and the additional extended warranty I purchased. If not, I would be out of thousands of dollars! I've got to be honest..Cadillac makes some hot looking vehicles but they are NOT worth the hassle or the money. BUYER BEWARE!!

I have a 2x2 and need a 4x4 so I am forced into buying another vehicle. I have looked at every vehicle it it's class, including new, and I am SO sad I have to give up my old escalade. I am spoiled now and nothing else can compare. However, as another reviewer wrote, I have had ongoing problems with the "skin" on both front and rear consoles as well as with the leather seats (cracking and peeling). The consoles and both front seats have been "reskinned" at the dealer four times and it's happening again. This is disappointing, to be sure, but it is the only problem I have had ... mechanical or otherwise. It's a comfy ride!!

Cadillac Escalade Platinum Popular Features

The Cadillac Escalade has been catering to the more discriminating SUV driver since 1999. The fourth generation debuted with the 2015 model year and includes the Cadillac Escalade Platinum that remains the top tier trim level through the 2020 model year. For full-size families that need additional cargo space, you can opt for the Cadillac Escalade ESV, still available with the Platinum trim, that has a longer wheel base while maintaining all the luxury amenities included on the standard model. For the 2018 model year Cadillac Escalade Platinum, you will find the 6.2L V8 engine under the hood that produces an impressive 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, available with either rear or four-wheel drive. When properly equipped, the Cadillac Escalade Platinum is able to tow up to 8,300 lbs.2 Three rows of leather seating feature second-row captain's chairs and a split-folding third row ready to stow away when you need the room for gear instead of people.

Of course, when you are looking at a Cadillac, you are expecting the ultimate in luxury and the latest in tech toys. In the 2018, it all starts at the pilot's 18-way power adjustable seat with memory, heat, and ventilation. Power side mirrors, pedals, and steering column get you in the ideal position for a long day behind the wheel. Tri-zone automatic climate control includes access for the rear passengers, so they can set their own temperature. The oversized center console has room to store tablets and includes multiple types of power connections for the first two rows. Keep an eye on the kids with the larger rearview mirror that can switch to a rear camera display so you can see over their heads, too. A Head Up display, cornering headlights, illuminating door handles, and power deploying side steps are just a few more of the premium features included in the Cadillac Escalade Platinum.

Cadillac Escalade EXT

The Escalade EXT I purchased is one fine vehicle. The car had been service only by a Cadillac dealer and after checking the background, I found there had been few (cosmetic) problems with the vehicle. If you are looking for an economy vehicle, this is NOT the car. It gets 13 in town and 19 on the road. But I knew that before I purchase the vehicle. I would buy it again.
