The 2021 Cadillac XT5 offers powerful performance, refined handling, and spacious interiors that lend a luxury feel. However, concerns like cabin noise, limited visibility, and tech quirks may affect satisfaction. Reliability issues are rare, but tech maintenance could be costly. Overall, the XT5 balances luxury and versatility for most buyers.

Pros

Cons

Reliability

Car has repeatedly had problems with sunroof that have yet to be fixed - took 26 days to repair, repairs lasted 13 days.

Technology and Entertainment

Sunroof has initially unable to open, now it won't close.

Weather Versatility

had the car a little over 90 days, and it has been in for service (sunroof) or awaiting service (sunroof won't close) - thus inoperable for 1/3 of that time.

2021 Cadillac XTS
Pros

Power

Excellent pickup when merging.

Weather Versatility

2 wheel dr., all wheel drive, sport dr., 4 wheel drive with the push of a button.

Fuel Economy

I average between 21 and 26 MPG.
Cons

Seat Comfort

This car was advertised as premium luxury, rated 10 out of 10. The seats are black, very hot. This car being rated 10 out of 10 does not have A/C seats. My previous Cadillac was not premium luxury and had A/C seats.

Cabin Noise

Very noisy. I must turn the volume up on the freeway, then turn it down when I'm back in town. My passenger and I must raise our voices when talking,

Power

When using the engine off at a stop sign or light, the car lurches forward when the accelerator is pressed. Also when using the cruise control going downhill, the car jerks while trying to maintain a constant speed. The vehicle indicator lights for notification of a vehicle next to us work erratically.
