2015 Chrysler 300 Overview

The 2015 Chrysler 300 adds another vehicle to the entry-level luxury vehicle lineup. For the 2015 model, Chrysler completely redesigned the 300's interior and exterior look and feel. The interior is more elegant and organized. The outer silhouette remains the same, but the changes make the vehicle look larger and more refined.

2015 Chrysler 300 History

The Chrysler 300 was introduced in 2004. The 2015 Chrysler 300 is a part of the second generation of this lineup. It has new trim levels, an upgraded body styling, an improved interior, and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

How It Drives

Expect an exciting and exceedingly comfortable ride from the 2015 Chrysler 300. It is exceptionally smooth and quiet. Both engine options are capable of quick acceleration, but the V8 engine is even more satisfying to drive. The full-size sedan is well-weighted and has a sophisticated feel when driving it. If you aren't satisfied with the base suspension, then you have access to a more sports-tuned suspension as an optional upgrade or as part of higher trim levels. Typically, the Chrysler 300 comes with rear-wheel drive, but it has all-wheel drive available to swap in. For passengers, this car has enough headroom and legroom to make for a comfortable ride. Additionally, the Chrysler 300 is feature-rich; it has a stellar audio system in all of its trim levels with Bluetooth connectivity.

Used 2015 Chrysler 300 Value

In the full-size sedan category, there are many options to choose from outside of the Chrysler 300. Its main draw is that it's quiet, comfortable, powerful, and feature-rich - the Chrysler 300 has all the makings of an entry-level luxury vehicle. The changes for the 2015 model year only add to a very satisfying full-size sedan. With the option for all-wheel drive, you can expect the car to be well-prepared for all weather conditions.

With the Chrysler 300, it's clear that its only rivals are other well-established large sedans like the Toyota Avalon or the Dodge Charger. It stands out as one of the more well-equipped vehicles in its class, though the Dodge Charger is no slouch on the performance front.

Design & Performance

New for the 2015 Chrysler 300 were updated front and rear grilles to stand out more against other full-size sedans. Four trim levels make up the 2015 Chrysler 300 lineup:

  • The 300 Limited is the base-level trim. It has 17-inch alloy wheels that are swapped with 19-inch alloy wheels when equipped with all-wheel drive. It is well equipped for a base-level trim; the car has automatic headlights, heated mirrors, keyless entry and ignition, and an auto-dimming rear view mirror.
  • The 300S comes with the base-level equipment and has slightly more horsepower and torque with the same engine. This sports trim level features larger wheels, a sports-tuned suspension, steering calibration, dual-sport exhaust, and a Sport driving mode for the transmission. It also has remote startup capabilities, a rear view camera, and a 10-speaker BeatsAudio sound system.
  • The 300C builds on the 300 Limited's features. It has a remote start, additional chrome exterior accents, LED interior lighting, heated front and rear seats, a rear view camera, a built-in navigation system, and six-speaker Alpine audio system.
  • The 300C Platinum stands at the top of this lineup. It has 20-inch wheels, a touring-tuned suspension, chrome accents, heated and cooled front cupholders, power-adjustable pedals, leather upholstery, extended leather upholstery, and a Sport mode built into the transmission.

Each trim level is increasingly luxurious. Many of the more upscale feature packages are also available as optional upgrades for the lower trim levels.

Powertrain & Engine

The Chrysler 300 is a heavy vehicle. It comes standard with a 3.6L V6 engine to make sure it has the horsepower necessary to still accelerate quickly. It also has respectable fuel efficiency with rear-wheel drive. A 5.7L V8 engine is available as an optional upgrade. An eight-speed automatic transmission is now standard for V6 and V8 engines. This car typically is equipped with rear-wheel drive, but has available all-wheel drive.

Body Style & Interior Comfort

The Chrysler 300 is a large car. The body was updated in this model year with slight changes to the exterior and interior style:

  • The steering wheel was redesigned and the instrument panel was upgraded.
  • The upholstery is designed with dual tones, among other upgrades.
  • Navigation and automatic climate control are available upgrades.
  • The center stack features an 8.4-inch touchscreen.
