About the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica
A minivan like the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is a sensible choice when you have a growing family with a growing need for space. The three-row 2017 Pacifica can seat up to eight passengers with plenty of room to stretch out and get comfortable. Meanwhile, a spacious 32.3-cubic-foot cargo area provides plenty of room for groceries, sports gear, luggage, and other cargo.
Under the hood, the 2017 Pacifica boasts a capable 3.6L V6 engine—and every trim comes with standard features that include push-button start, a touchscreen interface, and tri-zone climate control to keep you comfortable. Whether you lean towards the base trim or the top-of-the-line Limited trim with built-in vacuum cleaner (how handy is that?), the 2017 Pacifica can deliver a smooth and comfortable ride.

Does the Pacifica name sound familiar? If so, that's probably because Chrysler had a Pacifica wagon/SUV model back in the early 2000s. Despite sharing a name, however, these two models are entirely different—and the Pacifica minivan as we know it today launched its first generation in 2017 as a replacement for the Town and Country.
Chrysler Pacifica Engine Options
Every first-generation (2017-2020) Pacifica comes standard with a 3.6L V6 engine at 287 hp under the hood. This engine is paired with a nine-speed transmission and comes exclusively in front-wheel drive.
Chrysler Pacifica Storage Space
The first-generation Pacifica is a dream if you have larger-than-average cargo storage needs. Behind its third row, you'll find 32.3 cubic feet of space. By folding down the rear row, you can increase storage space to 87.5 cubic feet—and that number extends to an impressive 140.5 cubic feet with both second- and third-row seats stowed away.

Reviews for 2017 Chrysler Pacifica
Perfect family van
I hated the idea of a minivan, for so many reasons. But this minivan is stylish and comfortable and has exceeded all expectations. I’m constantly discovering new features. Auto wipers and auto headlights, and tons of safety features to keep you from bumping into things. The overhead view camera for backing up is amazing.
- Safety: I’m amazed at how aware thr van is of surrounding objects.
- Ride and Handling: Smoother than my crossover
- Cargo Space: Fits so much luggage and strollers
- Fuel Economy: Not amazing, especially when maintaining the navigation video and all the kids dvd players, but on avg 20mpg
easy driving, quiet and economical to own
easy to drive, great mpg, folding seats allows hauling large items, powerful engine for towing boat, comfortable seating, easy entry and exit, I love this car overall.
- Ride and Handling: easy to drive
- Fuel Economy: getting 28 MPG overall
- Cargo Space: haul large items
Exactly what I needed
all the features are fantastic on the Limited...love it.
- Cargo Space: everything is great, except the braking....seems like it takes a bit of brake on hills.
