This is the ideal mid-size SUV (aka Crossover) vehicle, it combines great interior comfort, external looks, versatility and power.
Looking at the Edge and its competitors I found for the money the Edge offers more for the price.
Pros:
Size
Features
Power
Comfort
Look
Cons:
Ride is a bit rough for a "luxury" vehicle (Sport AWD model)
Wheels on sport model are expensive to replace when it comes time to!
If I had the money the Ease of access options would have been nice (push button start, automatic lift gate, etc...)
Proof Hybrids can be luxurious
2013 Ford C-MaxBrad Slaughter - Lake Havasu City, AZ02/18/2017
The level of luxury is surprising. Fun, luxurious and economical. It is even easily towable behind a motorhome. It meets ALL of my needs and desires. Had it for 9 months. By the way, be sure to buy the SEL with all the goodies, and there is no change between 2013 to 2015 years. So IGNORE Consumer Reports who love the 2014 and 2015, but say there are some issues with the 2013. No difference.
2013 Escape runs great on long road trips
2013 Ford EscapeJessie - visalia, CA04/24/2015
I bought the Escape a year and half ago and it's ran really well. Drove from central CA to Tuscon, Grand Canyon and then central CA to Vancouver, Canada.
I find it to be very comfortable. I can get in and out my car easily. Just enough space for passengers. Back seats will go down for extra trunk space. Driving and turning is like a coupe. Really easy to get use to.
Mine has Microsoft sync technology. I can connect an Ipod through USB or stream music through my cell phone on the Bluetooth. Also voice control to select music or control A/C heating.
The only con I have on my escape is the estimated gas mileage. It says it's about 33mpg on the highway but I only get 26-27. This is my only reason I didn't give my review 5 stars.
