Generation Overview

The Sorento name has appeared on Kia SUVs since 2002. The 2014 Kia Sorento is the last model year for the second generation of this mid-size family vehicle. A large hatch and two rows of seats give your crew of five plenty of elbow room, or find one with a third row added and chauffeur up to seven at one time. Two engine packages are offered starting with the 2.4L four-cylinder paired with a six-speed automatic transmission producing an EPA-estimated 191 hp and 26 mpg highway.2 The 3.3L V6 ups your performance numbers to 290 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque. The cargo area has a hidden cubby beneath the floor for your valuables and offers an impressive 36.9 cubic feet of space with the second row in the upright position.

You have five trim levels from which to select the perks and upgrades that you most desire, beginning with the LX and its heated power side mirrors, cruise control, Bluetooth® technology, and cloth seats. The LX V6 adds a set of silver roof rails to your ride. Roll out in style in the EX V6 with its 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, a rear roof line spoiler, automatic climate control and heated front seats. The SX brings a set of 19-inch wheels, chrome dual exhaust, stainless steel side sills, and voice-command navigation.3 Pack up for fun in the Limited and take advantage of the power moonroof, self-leveling HID headlights, second-row heated outboard seats, leather trim and a smart key ignition system.

Are you searching for an SUV with driver assist technology? You can find blind spot detection and a back-up warning system on the SX and Limited. An optional package of third-row seating with rear heating/air conditioning vents helps to keep every passenger comfortable.

2Fuel economy figures are based on EPA estimates for when vehicle sold as new. Fuel economy may vary for reasons like driving conditions and vehicle history. Unless specified, figures are for vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission. See fueleconomy.gov.
