About the Lincoln MKX
Vehicle Summary
The Lincoln MKX was first introduced for sale as Lincoln's midsize luxury crossover SUV in 2007, replacing the Aviator. Its second generation or production began in 2016 and ended with the 2018 model year before the MKX was replaced by the Lincoln Nautilus. Offering ample seating for five passengers, optional all-wheel drive, and a powerful 3.7L V6 engine across all model years, the Lincoln MKX is a great choice for those seeking a spacious, versatile, and elegant SUV.
In true luxury form, the MKX also boasts some generous features even in its base Premiere trim (2017 model year), including automatic dual-zone climate control for added comfort, heated eight-way front seats with driver-seat memory functions, a 10-speaker sound system, and an eight-inch central touchscreen display.

Q: Does the Lincoln MKX have three rows?
A: No, the Lincoln MKX has always been offered with two rows of seating with a maximum seating capacity of five people.
Q: Which Lincoln SUV is the smallest?
A: The MKC, a compact luxury crossover with seating for five, is Lincoln's smallest SUV available.
Lincoln MKX Trim Configurations
The first generation of Lincoln MKX (2007-2015) was offered for sale in one standalone trim configuration, although additional "equipment groups" were optional. The Premium Equipment Group available on the 2014 model year, for example, added such features as polished wheels, upgraded leather upholstery, and heated front- and second-row seats. A 3.7L V6 engine at 305 horsepower was standard on all first-generation Lincoln MKX SUVs.
Beginning with the second generation (2016-2018), the MKX was offered in four trim configurations. A 3.7L V6 engine remained standard on these model years, although a turbocharged 2.7L V6 at 335 horsepower became an additional option starting with the 2016 model year.
