2013 - Present Lincoln MKZ Trim Configurations
Beginning with the 2013 year model, Lincoln started producing the second generation of the Lincoln MKZ. The second generation featured a redesigned exterior and interior, new technology options, and three different engine options to choose from. Engine options include a 240 hp 2.0L EcoBoost® I-4 turbocharged direct injection engine, a 300 hp 3.7L Ti-VCT 24-valve aluminum V6 engine, and a 188-hp 2.0L iVCT Atkinson-cycle I-4 hybrid engine.
The first model in the second generation of the Lincoln MKZ, the 2013 Lincoln MKZ, offered a number of advanced tech features such as a blind-spot information system with cross-traffic alert and a voice-activated navigation system on the Reserve and Preferred trims, a rearview camera on the Select, Reserve, and Preferred trims, and more.
The Lincoln MKZ was given a facelift in 2017, as Lincoln redesigned the front grille and headlights of the 2017 model. The 2017 Lincoln MKZ also dropped the 3.7L Ti-VCT 24-valve aluminum V6 engine that was available for previous models in the second generation and replaced it with a 3.0L GTDI V6 engine that is rated for 350 hp in FWD and 400 hp on AWD models.
Today, the Lincoln MKZ continues to set the bar high when it comes to tech features. On the 2018 Lincoln MKZ Select and Reserve trims, you'll find options such as adaptive cruise control and pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection and active braking. The Reserve trim also comes with a Revel® 14-speaker audio system.
