2014 Mazda CX-5 Engine Options
Two engines are available on the 2014 CX-5. On the base Sport trim, you'll find a 2.0L four-cylinder engine at 155 hp under the hood. This engine is paired to either a six-speed manual (standard) or six-speed automatic transmission. The Touring and Grand Touring trims receive a slightly more powerful 2.5L four-cylinder engine at 184 hp. This engine comes standard with the six-speed automatic transmission. 2014 Mazda CX-5 Interior
Behind the rear seats on the 2014 Mazda CX-5, you'll find 34 cubic feet of cargo space. When your rear seats aren't in use, consider folding them down to extend cargo storage up to a full 65 cubic feet. Even on the base Sport trim, you'll enjoy standard 60/40-split-folding seats for this purpose. Meanwhile, the Touring and Grand Touring trims feature 40/20/40-split-folding rear seats for even more customization of your cargo space.
On the Touring and Grand Touring trims, you'll also find a unique rear seat that allows the seat bottom to be folded independently from the rest of the seat. This makes it possible to fold down the second-row seats almost completely flat, allowing for easier loading and unloading.

Reviews for 2014 Mazda CX-5
Great car with worn out brakes.
This car drives great. The only thing that was deeply upsetting was about a month after purchase the brakes started making noise.

- Cabin Noise:
I researched for a long time before buying. The CX-5 is very highly rated by practically every reviewer and website. The particular one I settled on had fairly high mileage, but it also had every possible bell and whistle - loaded. The engine is not particularly powerful, but is very revvy and willing. The transmission is excellently designed to get the most from the engine, both in MPG and performance. This crossover corners very well, and is rock solid and confidence inspiring at any speed. It doesn't drive like an SUV at all! It feels and drives more like a well-sorted sports car. It also has tons of room and comfort - unlike any sports car.
- Fuel Economy: I am getting 26 or so combined - and I have a heavy foot!
- Ride and Handling: Rides and handles extremely well.
- Reliability: It's a Mazda. Need I say more?
- Cabin Noise: It is a bit loud at freeway speed. Excellent stereo helps with that.
