Mini is considered a luxury car and the cost for simple routine maintenance can be costly. I recommend the extended warranty if you purchase one.

PROS
Interior Space
feels kind of weird choosing "interior space" as something to look forward to in a MINI. I should be taken within context. This car is small. However, the seating and storage room are deceiving. As a person of larger size, I fit comfortably. Plenty of room for me and any passengers.
Fuel Economy
This car sips fuel. I have been getting between 30-38 mpg since I got it. (combination city/highway). This is a HUGE improvement from previous vehicles.
Ride and Handling
It is fun to drive. It is responsive on streets and corners, while smooth on highways. Living in a northern state, I was shocked at how it handles the winter weather! There was no difference in driving in the snow covered streets between my Mini and my 3/4 ton Dodge. (although - the clearance was significantly decreased between the two) Handles, stopping, and going are all solid on snow/ice.
