The 2014 Nissan Murano offers a smooth ride, reliable performance, and spacious interior. Customers appreciated its luxury-like handling and technology features like Bose sound and backup cameras. However, fuel economy and visibility were frequent drawbacks. Reliability concerns about the CVT transmission were also noted but less widespread compared to positives like safety and seat comfort.

2014 Nissan Murano
I love my Murano!! One of the best cars
Pros

Reliability

My Murano has been very reliable and handles so nicely. I like the roomy interior as well!

Ride and Handling

For a larger vehicle, it handles extremely well.

Interior Space

I find it to comfortably seat 5 adults.
Cons

Reliability

My Murano is truly reliable! Getting it winterized next week for the cold weather ahead to keep it in good running condition.

Cargo Space

The cargo space is huge! I can get all my large suitcases, groceries and camping gear in that space! I love it!

2014 Nissan Murano
Luxury SUV
Pros

Cabin Noise

Nice, quiet, luxury car ride.

Power

Good V6 power, plenty of get up for merging into traffic.

Reliability

No problems in 7 years of ownership.
Cons

Fuel Economy

The price you pay for the V6 power is less than desirable fuel economy (16.5-17 mpg city, 20ish highway).

Visibility

Blind spots make merging interesting. A pillars are so large they sometimes block pedestrians.

Reliability

While the car has been rock solid for me I’ve always been concerned about the CVT transmission. CVT’s have been problematic in other Nissan models.
