The Subaru Forester XT version has a LOT more pep and responsiveness than the 2.5 litre engined Forester. Gas mileage suffers a little (we are currently getting between 24 and 28 highway and 20-24 in town) but the additional acceleration more than makes up for that. I like the AWD and the option to "manually" shift the car, and the S1 and S# gearing and suspension adjustment for windy roads or snow or rain. If you are really in the snow, you can select XMode which is like a four wheel drive mode for up to 25 miles per hour (it automatically drops out of Xmode above 24 MPH). Real leather seats. Nice stitching. Well appointed with dual air and heat. Heated front seats. HUGE sunroof with windbreak at front. Handles wonderfully.
This little SUV is a good runner but underpowered with the 2.5 boxer.
The car rattles like you can't believe! It went back to the dealer multiple times and they were not able to resolve all of the rattles.
It handles well, just to much of a rattle box for me to keep.
Love my Subaru
