Jun 04, 2021 Excellent long-term car
The Volvo XC60 is a phenomenal long-distance cruiser. The engine is most happy right around 70 miles per hour on cruise control and will easily return over 30 mpg on regular fuel. In comparison to other cars in the segment, I decided to purchase this car based on standard safety features as well as the comparably lower cost of maintenance. My only gripe has to do with the lack of rear seat legroom behind my driving position. I am tall (6'4"), and if someone is sitting behind me, I can feel their legs in my back (not a factor that negatively impacts comfort, but just something I notice). Despite the small-ish back seat, the cargo area is huge - 70 cubic feet which is competitive even in a step up in size class. Overall it's a great car!

I have not had to take it into the dealership apart from routine service. (10,000 mile intervals)
Visibility
Most 2017 model year XC60s come with a blind spot monitor but there are no real blind spots, and visibility out the front and back is great.
Fuel Economy
Even though I drive more in the city than on the highway, I am returning above the EPA estimated combined fuel economy.
CONS
Interior Space
Like I mentioned, the back seat is not massive, but front seat comfort is great and the cargo volume is impressive.
Technology and Entertainment
7" infotainment screen is smaller than most competitors, but it does have internet connectivity and remote start with a subscription
