The 2024 Acura Integra injects performance with the new Type S model
The Acura 2024 Integra is the automaker's smallest and least expensive model. It shares several parts with the Honda Civic, but it adds plenty of features, such as an upgraded audio system, numerous standard driver-assist systems, and nicer materials throughout the cabin. The Integra competes with other small luxury sedans such as the Audi A3 and the Mercedes-Benz CLA.
The big news for 2024 is the arrival of the high-performance Integra Type S model. It features a turbocharged 320-horsepower engine with a standard six-speed manual transmission. The Type S addresses one of the larger complaints with the base Integra by injecting it with some serious performance enhancements that completely change its character. This model may cost more and be harder to find, but if you want a small sedan that provides some thrills, it may be worth seeking out.
Overall, the Integra is a comfortable and spacious premium sedan that offers more for the money than its European competitors.

What We Like
Excellent cargo space: The Integra's hatchback cargo bay is a meaningful upgrade over sedan rivals if you want a car with a bit more utility. With the seatbacks in place, the generous 24.3 cubic-foot cargo bay has about twice the capacity of the Audi A3.
Fuel economy: The manual-transmission base Integra gets an EPA-estimated 30 mpg in mixed driving.
During Edmunds' testing, the Integra hit that mark with an observed 30.2 mpg. Automatic-equipped models have an EPA-estimated 33 mpg combined.Type S is an entertaining driver's car: The "S" in Type S stands for street and that's where the Integra shines. It won't blow you away with its performance numbers, but in the real world, the Acura Integra Type S is a blast. It feels more raw and connected to the road than any of its German rivals, thanks in part to its exceptional manual transmission. This car is agile through the corners, with stable handling and direct steering feedback. It's one of the best driver's cars on the road today.
What Needs Improvement
Interior doesn't feel as special as competitors' cabins: The Integra's interior is largely borrowed from the Honda Civic Si. At a glance, they're nearly identical, separated only by the Integra's additional color schemes and features. It’s nice enough, but it feels a cut below rivals like the Audi A3. The Integra's 9-inch infotainment screen is undersized compared to what you'll find in most other rivals and another reminder of the car's Civic roots. We also found that the 16-speaker ELS sound system lacked the power and rich sound of the systems in Acura's TLX and MDX.
