2014 Audi A5 review

1. The coupe option 

If you love the feel of a gear shifter in your hand, opt for the 2014 Audi A5 coupe outfitted with a six-speed manual transmission clocking a zero-to-60 time of just 6.3 seconds. The coupe also features all-wheel drive to take charge of summer to winter road conditions, so go ahead and plan that cross-country road trip through the mountains. Prefer an automatic transmission? Some 2014 Audi A5 coupes out there feature the available eight-speed automatic. There's room for a few overnight bags, too as the trunk offers 12.2 cu-ft of storage. 

2. The convertible option 

Love to cruise with the top down? The standard 2014 Audi A5 cabriolet features front-wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). However, the cabriolet can be found with available all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. All convertible options feature a power-operated, well-insulated softtop that opens or closes in approximately 15 seconds. Even though there's a fabric top to store, convertible drivers still enjoy 10.2 cu-ft of rear cargo space. And, the rear seats fold down if you need additional storage on days you don't have backseat passengers. 

3. The optional packages 

Although the 2014 Audi A5 technically comes in one trim with two body stylings, there's more. Lots more. Audi has several optional packages to further enhance your driving experience with additional driver-assist features, luxury upgrades, and styling preferences. Look out for the Premium Plus, Prestige, MMI Navigation Plus, and Black Optic packages. Many of these unlock more features too. For example, the Premium Plus package gives you access to the Lighting package. 

4. Exhilarating to drive 

The 2014 Audi A5 has impressive body control on the road. All-wheel drive models show off with precision traction, comfortable suspension, and exciting acceleration. Rides outfitted with the Prestige package feature blindspot monitoring to support your awareness on the highway, while adaptive cruise control helps keep proper spacing from the vehicle in front of you. If you choose a model with the Premium Plus or Prestige package, you may also get the Sport package featuring a re-tuned suspension, front sport seats, customizable steering settings, transmission control settings, and shifting paddles for automatic models. 

5. Loaded base trim 

Whether you choose a coupe or convertible, the base trim comes well-equipped for this luxury-class ride. The coupe features a sunroof, and both body styles offer leather upholstery, eight-way power front seats, lumbar support for the driver, a 6.5-inch display screen, a 10-speaker sound system, a CD player, satellite radio integration, and Bluetooth^® connectivity.
