Thrilling high-performance hybrid SUV
Big and bold in every sense, the innovative first-generation BMW XM SUV continues to turn heads and start conversations in its second year of production. For 2024, there's a slick new trim to look out for: Label Red, which promises more horses under the hood, a 20-speaker audio upgrade, and some red exterior accents. Power-packed for performance, yet smart enough to offer useful electric-only miles too, this hard-to-ignore five-seater is an exciting and ultra-luxurious SUV.

5 reasons to buy the 2024 BMW XM
1. Exhilarating powertrain performance
A plug-in hybrid powertrain devoted to performance is not something you see every day, but the XM does things differently, and you’ll love the thrilling results. Both 2024 XM trims are powered by a 4.4L V8 engine with an electric motor and 19.2-kWh onboard battery pack for an almost unbelievable 644 hp on the base trim model. The same setup is re-engineered to deliver 738 hp on the Label Red trim.
2. Great tech
Effortless tech engagement is something the future-forward XM SUV excels at. The front dash features an expansive curved digital display, home to a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen nestled side by side. While you're on the move, you can engage with the XM virtual assistant through voice or gesture commands to adjust audio and other settings. Compatible smartphones sync to the XM via wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ functionality, while remote over-the-air software upgrades ensure your vehicle’s capabilities stay cutting edge.
3. Spacious interior
Ideally suited to growing families, and friend groups that enjoy traveling together in style, the 2024 XM has the dimension for relaxing road trips and fun outings. Wide door openings offer easy entry and exit and allow you to comfortably attend to babies and infants in their seats at rest stops. Once seated, even your tallest companions can stretch out, with 40.4 inches of legroom up front and 40.3 inches in the back. For an extra layer of cozy comfort, all seats benefit from heat functionality too.
4. Head-turning style
Bold style is the XM SUV's calling card, and for the 2024 model year, you‘ll get a roster of snazzy paint options and some unconventional style accents too. Seven metallic paint finishes are available for the BMW XM, including the color pop shades of Cape York Green and Toronto Red. The bold and boxy design of the front fascia is offset by the illumination of its deep kidney-shaped grille, while the rear fascia has its surprises too — namely a two-by-two vertically stacked exhaust and an aerodynamic rear diffuser.
5. Great standard features
Both 2024 XM trims have an almost identical, and extensive list of standard features. Basic driver technology includes adaptive sport suspension for reactive traction and stability, a head-up driver display, and a cluster of advanced driver aids. Opulent comfort as standard best describes the 2024 XM interior. Expect to be cocooned in luxury; from soft-close doors and diamond-quilted leather upholstery to a 16-speaker Harman Kardon® audio system. Plus there are front cupholders with heating and cooling functionality.
