2019 Chevrolet Sonic review

1. Turbocharged engine 

Whether you’re driving in the city or commuting on the highway, you’ll have plenty of power in the 2019 Chevy Sonic. The 183-hp 1.4L turbocharged four-cylinder engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission. An automatic transmission is available.  

2. Plenty of space 

Despite being a subcompact car, the 2019 Chevy Sonic has space for people and cargo. Every Sonic has nearly 42 inches of legroom in front, enough for even tall drivers to stretch out. The sedan offers 14.9 cu.-ft of trunk space, while the hatchback has 19 cu.-ft of cargo space, enough for strollers or sports equipment.

Stay connected to your playlists and podcasts with Apple Carplay®, Android Auto™, and Bluetooth® integration, standard on every 2019 Chevy Sonic. Those systems pair with the standard seven-inch touchscreen. Two USB ports come standard, so your phone can always stay charged.  

4.  Sporty options  

Whether you spend your free time on the track or are just an avid race fan, you’ll appreciate the available sports package on the 2019 Chevrolet Sonic. The RS package, available on the sedan or hatchback, adds a sports exhaust, a sports steering wheel, a rear spoiler, and sports styling inside and out. It also adds leatherette upholstery and heated front seats.  

5. Upscale touches 

The 2019 Chevy Sonic offers lots of upscale touches, especially if you choose the available Premier trim. That comes standard with leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. Lane departure warning and emergency braking are available on that trim too.
