5 reasons to buy the 2023 BMW 540
1. Mild hybrid system
If you’re curious about electric and hybrid cars — or just like the feel of swift acceleration — you’ll want to know more about the 2023 BMW 540’s “mild hybrid” system. Most of the power in the 540 comes from the standard 335-hp 3.0L TwinPower turbocharged six-cylinder engine. But, for a bit of extra oomph when you accelerate, the car also has a 48-volt electric motor. With standard rear-wheel drive, the 2023 540 can go from zero to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds, bringing a bit of extra excitement to your daily driving.
2. Executive feel
If you spend your days in the boardroom and want to feel just as powerful on your commute, the 2023 540 is up for the challenge. All 540s come standard with leather seats and a moonroof, but for the most luxurious experience, opt for the Executive Package. That will give you a heads-up display, heated seats, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon® stereo system.
3. Lots of cargo space
Whether you’re hauling strollers and portable cribs, band equipment, or sports gear, the 2023 BMW 540 has plenty of space. The sedan comes with 18.7 cu-ft of trunk space, which is very spacious for a sedan. For extra practicality, the optional power liftgate allows you to open the trunk even when you have your hands full.
4. Ultra comfortable seats
The next time you’re on a road trip or just stuck in a particularly bad traffic jam, you’ll find comfort — quite literally — in the 2023 540’s seats. Every 540 comes with 16-way adjustable front seats that allow you to fine-tune your driving position. If you want even more control, opt for the available multi-contour seats, which adjust across 20 different settings. Heat, ventilation, and massage function are the cherries on top of these already super comfortable seats.
5. Straightforward connectivity
Want to stay connected without any fuss? Every 2023 540 comes standard with a 12.3-inch display screen. You can control it through touch, by using the rotary knob, or through voice commands, which helps you change settings without you taking your eyes off the road. Bluetooth®, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™ integration are all standard and allow you to take advantage of the standard 12-speaker sound system.
