The 2016 Nissan Titan XD bridges the gap between half-ton and heavy-duty pickups. The Titan XD is similar to half-ton trucks but has powerful engines that increase its towing and hauling capabilities. Choose between the standard V8 gas engine or an available turbodiesel V8. The five trims range from basic (with powering windows) to luxurious (with leather seats that are heated throughout). Whether you’re looking for a work truck or a luxurious cruiser to tow your camper or boat, there’s a 2016 Nissan Titan XD that is right for you.

1. Strong engine options  

The 2016 Nissan Titan XD delivers plenty of power for farm chores or four-wheel driving thanks to two available V8s. The standard engine is a 390-hp 5.6L gas-powered V8. Or, choose the available 310-hp Cummins® turbo diesel 5L V8. Either engine provides all the power you’ll need for your next job or adventure.   

2. Great towing potential 

Whether you’re hauling a boat, horse trailer, or work equipment, the 2016 Nissan Titan XD is up for the challenge. With the available 5L turbo diesel, the 2016 Titan XD can tow up to 12,000 pounds when properly equipped.

Available features including tow mirrors, a brake controller, and an integrated good-neck hitch make towing easier.  

3. Off-road trim 

The 2016 Nissan Titan XD will be a great companion on your next off-grid camping trip, especially in the Pro-4X trim. That trim comes standard with off-road shocks, a limited-slip rear differential, hill-descent control, and more. A standard cloth and vinyl interior, and spray-in bedliner mean the 2016 Nissan Titan XD Pro-4X will be easy to clean when the adventure is done.  

4. Driver assist features  

After a long day at work, it’s nice to be able to rely on technology during the drive home. The 2016 Nissan Titan XD offers lots of available driver assist features. The SV Comfort and Convenience package, available on all but the base trim, adds blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and parking sensors. A surround-view camera is available as part of the Luxury package.  

5. Functional cargo space 

When you’re loading up for a day on the job or a camping trip, the functional storage on the 2016 Nissan Titan XD will come in handy. The SV Utility package adds a locking interior cargo box under the rear seat, bed rails, four moveable tie-down cleats in the bed, a 12-volt outlet, and a cargo bed light. Two “Titan boxes” for exterior cargo storage are a standalone option.
