Hybrid crossover with modern convenience

After a hiatus from 2018 to 2020, Toyota reintroduced the Venza crossover SUV in 2021. The 2022 Toyota Venza Hybrid is the second model year since the revival, and there are no significant changes from 2021. It’s offered exclusively as a hybrid vehicle, powered by a 2.5L, four-cylinder gas engine and three electric motors. Together, the gas engine and electric motors develop 219 horsepower.

All-wheel drive is standard, along with an array of modern amenities such as an eight-inch infotainment screen with connectivity to all the apps you’ll want. Activation with subscription may be required for some of these features. Some models include a larger, 12.3-inch infotainment screen, and advanced options for high-tech features.

5 reasons to buy the 2022 Toyota Venza Hybrid

1. Outstanding gas mileage

When you purchase a hybrid vehicle, you probably expect excellent gas mileage. Well, you'll be pleased to know the 2022 Toyota Venza Hybrid delivers. The EPA estimates that this car will get you 39 mpg combined, which divides up as 40 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway.

2. Exclusive sunroof option

The 2022 Toyota Venza Hybrid offers the optional Star Gaze electrochromic panoramic sunroof. It’s “electrochromic” because you can switch the glass from clear to frosted with the flip of a switch. Want to see the stars? Turn it to clear. Want to dim the sun’s rays so your kid can take a nap in the backseat? Switch to opaque.

3. Plenty of storage

The 2022 Toyota Venza Hybrid includes 28.8 cu-ft of cargo space in the back. But if you lower the rear seats, that cargo space expands to 55.1 cu-ft. That’s plenty of space to hold suitcases for a road trip or groceries for weekly errands. And with the standard hands-free power liftgate, you can pick up your grocery order without ever getting out of the car.

4. Outfitted with technology

The 2022 Toyota Venza Hybrid includes a standard eight-inch touchscreen that’s easy to use. A 12.3-inch touchscreen is an option for the XLE and standard on the Limited trim version. In addition to the large screen, standard options include Bluetooth® connectivity and integration with Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, and SiriusXM satellite radio.

5. Ride in comfort

With five seats, the 2022 Toyota Venza Hybrid offers plenty of space for friends or family. The seats are comfy with standard cloth upholstery. For increased comfort, options include synthetic leather upholstery, heated and cooled front seats, and a heated steering wheel. If you have kids or grandkids, installing car seats is a cinch: The rear outer seats each contain a set of LATCH connectors, and the middle seat includes a tether anchor.
