- The Base trim has been discontinued for 2013.
- Beetle trims have been upgraded with Smart Key, Leatherette & Cloth, 6002, Soft Top, and Turbo Diesel Engine as standard equipment this year.
- The 2.5 trim now comes with Cloth Seats and Rear Spoiler as standard equipment.
- The 2.0T trim now comes with Leatherette Seats as standard equipment.
