I initially drove a 2004 Acura MDX until I sold it with 215,000 miles on it. I was looking for another Acura, and came across the RDX. The 2012 has a 4-cylinder turbo engine, while 2013 and newer has a 6-cylinder. It drives amazingly!
You hardly notice a turbo lag (in fact, my family didn't when they drove it). Its luxurious and looks great on the road. The sport mode is fun to drive in.
My three complaints with the car are lack of space (compact SUV, very different from the larger MDX), the gas mileage (maybe 18 mpg), and the interior color (as I got it from Carmax, changing the black interior to a lighter color wasn't an option). However, I think it is a great, more affordable version of the MDX that is super fun to drive!
We knew it would be smaller ("compact") than the MDX, but it doesn't feel smaller. In fact, we're enjoying the fact that we can get in and out of just about any parking place so easily.

The car drives smooth. I loved the performance and audio system. The AWD is smooth and you could barely feel the corners at 40 mph. I would miss the car, perhaps i would look into the same car in my future purchase.
The Acura MDX, which entered the market in 2001, was designed to address the need for a high-performance people-mover with an abundance of luxury features. Although the MDX replaced Acura’s SLX, its build was actually based on the popular Honda Pilot. In true Acura style, this newly-developed SUV was infused with the highest-quality comfort and performance features available.
