Fun to drive

I would recommend this car with caution. I must first say that I love the look and drive of this car. I love the small drive of it with big carrying capacity. (I can fit a Christmas tree in with the seats down as well as my small kayak) It is peppy yet also an an Eco-pro setting for when i want to really be gas conscious.

PROS
Ride and Handling

Sporty. Fun to drive.

Cargo Space

Plenty of room for a busy active life.

Styling

Great looking car.

CONS
Reliability

I bought this car with only 23k miles on it. I have only owned it 3 months. When I drive the car for over an hour; the "needs oil light". Comes on. So far I have had to add 2 qts of oil in less than 3 mos.

Technology and Entertainment

Nice features but quite challenging to figure out how things work. And the instruction booklets aren't great help. It doesn't seem to have a intermittent wiper? Really? Tech is not intuitive at all.

Cost to Maintain

In only 3 mos. I have had to have a seat fixed; an oil change in an attempt to fix the extremely high oil consumption and the tailgate arm popped out of it's socket randomly. Yes I could fix but why did that happen. Very concerned about the service on this car. The last car I owned was a Lexus GS300. This BMW has had more problems in the last 3 mos than my Lexus had nearly the whole time I owned it.

Underestimated electric car

Really an awesome city car. The technology keeps the car's weight down, so it if very fast to accelerate. It feels like driving a go cart around town. Also, the cabin is very spacious. High seating position, can't even hear when Rex starts up. Tight turning radius and easy to park in any garage. I am shocked I don't see more on the road.

PROS
Fuel Economy

I have the rex and haven't even used a full gallon in one year.

Power

Easily cruz at 80mph on freeway. Has excellent merging power.

Reliability

Takes little to no maintenance. One oil change a year or two. Cabin filters.

CONS
Styling

It is a little ugly....have to learn to love it.

Cargo Space

Cargo space is small. But put seats down and you can do a costco run.

Braking

regenerative braking is set to high. Takes a little getting used to.

Great car.

This is a great car that feels like it's quality made. It takes some getting used to as far as braking and excelleration. It's a mid size car but works with my small size.

PROS
Ride and Handling
Interior Space
Styling
CONS
Braking

Brakes are graby

Cost to Maintain

You don't need service often but when you do you start at a thousand.

Seat Comfort

These are just hard. Around town is great but any trip over 2 hours you will be taking breaks
