Vehicle Summary

Introduced in 2013, the Cadillac XTS is a full-size luxury sedan that offers seating for up to five passengers. Great luxury sedan for an old guy on a budget

The 2014 XTS has numerous, wonderful, and complex options. However, my model does not have many of them. Nonetheless, I really enjoy the vehicle for its comfort and drive. I have the six cylinder engine and it has excellent acceleration and more than adequate power for 70 to 80 MPH interstate driving. I am a large 70 something so comfort is important to me. Entry and egress are easy. On long trips to visit kids and grandkids, the seating is quite comfortable. The Cue System touch screen is not half as bad as it is made out to be by some of the critics. I spent about three hours parked in and outside my garage studying the numerous functions. Now, I can do everything I need to do to customize my many options.

  • Interior Space: very roomy for a large man
  • Reliability: excellent performance day after day
  • Ride and Handling: quite, economical, responsive, and plenty of power

  • Visibility: Some issues due to styling. Mid and rear posts obstruct vision but small add-on mirrors correct this.
  • Technology and Entertainment: It does take a little effort to learn the CUE System, but once learned it is as if the car knows who you are and when you are in it it obeys and assists you very well.

Great car at a great price

Great price for this great car. I do not think I would have done better at a new car dealership. This car is amazing. From the excellent interior to all the superb tech gadgets that gives the driver more than enough information. I have driven this car for five months, no issues, a great ride; navigation and 360 cameras are great; very comfortable seats; good acceleration; very quiet. Even though I purchased this vehicle used, it still performs and looks like a new car.

  • Technology and Entertainment: Heads up display helps driver to keep eyes on road.

Disappointing encounter with a 14 Cadillac DTS srt

I've owned no car other than Cadillac since 1989. I am enthralled with them. Though the 2014 was elegant inside and "modern" outside, it rides like a lumber wagon or army jeep. Inside so loud no one can talk to another person. Neck is injured on every bump and entering 25degree elevation driveway is painful on turning in and up. I've bounced to ceiling of cabin. You can't extend your hand and recognize which way the fingers are pointing as they are bouncing around so fast. This was the sport model but set on" luxury" ride. It was purchasedas used from a Buick dealer, supposedly in excellent condition.

  • Ride and Handling: Has all safety features I wanted. It was beautifully appointed inside the cabin. The shape was modern.
