Love this car. Owned it since 2014 and never had any problems. Husband drives into Huntington Beach. Gas Efficient, gets 78 MPG. Smooth ride. Plenty of room. Bought one for our son who commutes to San Diego. Chevrolet has done a great job with the Volt.
I love my volt!

It saves me over $600 a month on gas. I love the electric & gas option. With a 10 gallon tank I fill up about every 4-6 weeks which costs about $20! The electric vehicle qualified me for discounts on my car insurance & my household electricity bill! It's solid feel & traction control make me feel safe & always in control.

If you live in a home where you can install a charger and you have a fairly normal daily commute, this is an absolutely fantastic car. I'm not a huge fan of Chevy, but it's clear they have put a great deal of work into this vehicle.
We owned a 2012 Volt and when it was totaled we bought a 2014. It's slightly better in most areas and we are very happy with it. The only downside is that it defaults to low power charging and the default can't be changed. Not even by the dealer! So if you install a level 2 charger, you will have to go into the menu every time you park to charge and change the charge level. It's infuriating because it didn't work that way on the 2012 model and it doesn't work that way on our Nissan Leaf.
