What customers are saying

The 2014 Ford C-Max receives praise for its excellent fuel economy, smooth handling, and quiet ride, but some users found cabin features overly complicated and cargo space limited. While most enjoy its technology, concerns include reliability and high maintenance costs. It’s a strong hybrid option with notable trade-offs.

Perfect little hybrid hatchback!

I love this car! I know I'm not supposed to love things, but I just can't help it. It gets over 40 miles to a gallon regularly (last tank was 42 mpg). The seat warmer has been a luxury this fall during the cold snaps. The leather seats were easy to clean after my dogs drooled during a recent trip to the park. With the back seats down, I can fit plenty of boxes, bags and my golf clubs. The rear view camera to help me back up is wonderful. And the technology system that allows me to sync my phone is, quite honestly, a feature I never want to be without while driving.

PROS
Fuel Economy

42 mpg in the city

Technology and Entertainment

Love the 55 mpg we get around town.

Sturdy and well built for a smaller car. It drives like a bigger vehicle and is relatively quiet when driving over 70 mph on the interstate.

PROS
Fuel Economy

55.3 mpg around town.

Cabin Noise

Quiet

Technology and Entertainment

Touch screen that controls everything, could also be a con.

CONS
Cargo Space

Very small cargo area.

Dashboard

Well laid out with lots of computer screen settings, too many for the wife (or many people I imagine) to learn what they do and how or when to use them.
