About the 2018 Ford F150
Vehicle Summary
The Ford F150 is one of the most iconic American vehicles for sale on the market today and has always been a popular choice when you want a rugged, dependable workhorse of a pickup truck. First introduced in 1976, the F150 is part of Ford's F-Series line of pickup trucks which date all the way back to 1948. And above all others, the venerable F150 is the model that has consistently captured the hearts of so many American drivers.
With the 2018 model year, Ford kept those traditions going strong. Part of the thirteenth generation of the F-Series trucks introduced in 2015, the 2018 model year saw a mid-cycle redesign take place, with two bars in the front grille instead of three and a common cab being used across all the F-Series trucks for the first time since 1996. Additionally, auto start-stop is standard across all engines in the 2018 range and a choice of either six or ten-speed automatic transmissions means the 2018 F150 maintains the 'go-anywhere, do-anything' character of its predecessors.

FAQ
Q: What engines are available in the 2018 Ford F150?
A: There are a total of six different engines to choose from for the 2018 Ford F150, which guarantees one will suit your requirements. The standard engine is the 3.3L V6 which pumps out 290 hp and 265lb-ft of torque. Just above that is the 2.7L EcoBoost® V6 with 325 hp and 400lb-ft of torque, and the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 packing 375 hp and a very impressive 470lb-ft of torque.
A special high-output version of the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 is available for sale in the F150 Raptor, producing a whopping 450 hp and 510lb-ft of torque. Every F150 has to come with at least one V8 option and the 2018 F150 is no exception with the 5.0L V8 packing 395 hp and 400lb-ft of torque. Additionally, the 2018 Ford F150 was the first ever F150 truck to offer a diesel engine option: the 3.0L Power Stroke V6 motor, which comes with 250 hp and 440lb-ft of torque.
Q: How long is the 2018 Ford F150 Supercab?
A: The 2018 Ford F150 Supercab measures out to 231.9 inches in length. The extra length comes from the additional row of seats in, as the name suggests, the super-sized cab area; the pickup bed is the same length as normal, 6.5ft.
Q: Is the F150 5.0 a Coyote engine?
A: Yes! The 5.0L V8 engine available in the 2018 Ford F150 is the latest variant of Ford's popular and multi-purpose Coyote modular engine line. The Coyote engine found in the 2018 Ford F150 delivers 395 hp and 400lb-ft of torque, an improvement over the 10hp and 13lb-ft of torque that the 2015–2017 F150 Coyote V8 delivers.
2018 Ford F150 Trim Configurations
XL - Starting with the base XL, standard features include 17-inch steel wheels, automatic headlights, trailer sway control, vinyl flooring, air conditioning, a 4.2-inch display screen, and a four-speaker stereo system. The optional 101A package adds power windows and mirrors, remote locking, cruise control, Bluetooth®, and a CD player. Optional extras on the XL trim include the FX4 Off-Road package, remote vehicle tracking, chrome and sport appearance packages, and the Ford Pro Trailer Backup Assist System.
XLT - Next up is the XLT trim, which includes the 101A package as standard and also adds alloy wheels, chrome bumpers, foglights, rear privacy glass, extra interior storage bins, and both driver and passenger lumbar seat adjustments. As for optional packages, the Mid 301A pack adds heated mirrors, a trailer hitch, an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat with power-adjustable pedals, a rearview camera, and a seven-speaker sound system. Alongside this, the Luxury 302A pack expands on the 301A by adding rear parking sensors, 10-way power adjustable (and heated) front seats, remote ignition, and an eight-inch touchscreen display.
Lariat - Up next is the Lariat trim package, which includes the Luxury 302A features as standard as well as larger 18-inch wheels, keyless entry/ignition, dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery, and ventilated front seats. Like the XLT trim, the Lariat also includes two optional packages — the Mid 501A and Luxury 502A packages. The Mid 501A adds the complete Luxury 302A list of features as well as front-facing spotlights and remote tailgate release, whilst the Luxury 502A trim adds LED headlights, automatic windshield wipers, a power-adjustable heated steering wheel, a navigation system, and an 11-speaker Bang & Olufsen® audio system with HD radio.
Platinum - Above the Lariat is the Platinum trim, building on the Luxury 502A package and adding 20-inch wheels, wood/aluminum interior trim, and power-deployable running boards.
Limited - The top of the range trim is the Limited, which includes almost all the optional features of the trim levels below it as well as 22-inch wheels, upgraded leather upholstery, special styling details, and the 3.5L V6 engine as the standard engine choice.
King Ranch - The King Ranch trim is only available as a SuperCrew and effectively combines the Luxury 502A package with a Western-style design theme and comes with the 5.0L V8 engine as standard.
Raptor - Finally, the Raptor is for sale as an off-road focused trim package. Its features are essentially the same as the XLT but also include the 3.5L high-output EcoBoost V6, reinforced frame, longer-travel suspension, flared fenders and skid plates, off-road tires, a modified four-wheel-drive system, and leather/cloth upholstery. Optional extras for the Raptor are largely the same as the XLT and Lariat packages, but also include a Torsen® limited-slip front differential and forged bead-lock wheels.
