The 2013 Honda CR-V is part of this crossover's fourth generation of production, which ran from 2012 through 2016. Compared to previous models, the fourth-generation CR-V measures an inch shorter and an inch slimmer without sacrificing any cargo space or legroom in the process. This generation of CR-V models also saw additional insulation compared to previous CR-Vs, allowing for a quieter ride inside the cabin—even in highway conditions. Bluetooth connectivity and a rearview camera also became standard equipment for this generation of CR-V models, and optional equipment like a rear-seat DVD entertainment system became available for the first time.
2013 Honda CR-V Engine Options
The standalone engine on the 2013 CR-V is a 2.4L four-cylinder at 185 hp, which is paired to a five-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive was optional when the 2013 CR-V was sold new.

Reviews for 2013 Honda CR-V
best choice i ever made
my cr-v is a 2013 so many of the bells and whistles are not there, but the smooth ride, fantastic control, cabin space and millage by far makes this perfect... i was worried at first but from mid test drive i was hooked.... who needs a sunroof when the overall experience is perfect.
- Value: i have a great suv without an unbelievable cost.
- Weather Versatility: handled the IL winter without a slip or stall
- Fuel Economy: i am not filling weekly, i can go 2 weeks and then its still only abit below a quater full
- Visibility: the blindspot is an issue as with many cars
- Technology and Entertainment: being a 2013 the rear view camera is not that great
Easy way to buy a used car.
I've always liked Hondas. This is my fourth Honda and my second CR-V. I like the roominess since I am a Ham operator and have to carry quite a bit of gear when I am deployed to an event. Also, it is a comfortable car to drive. And, I liked the fact that I didn't have to haggle. They give you a price, if you like it you buy it, if you don't you don't. And, they have a good supply of lots of different cars. I bought mine the first day I went there. My previous car had been totaled in a freeway accident, so I needed a car fast.
- Fuel Economy:
- Ride and Handling:
- Interior Space:
- Cabin Noise: Hondas are known for cabin noise, but it is not a problem. It is just something you live with because the rest is great.
Excellent all around vehicle
We use this for travel to Florida from Northern Virginia as well as shorter vacation trips (Rehoboth Beach, Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, Philadelphia, etc.) and general local travel. It is remarkably roomy and comfortable. Although the motor is "only" a four, I have had not problem getting to eighty mph on the way south and logging 30+ miles per gallon doing it. My model has navigation which means it also has nine speakers and a 300 watt amplifier. The sound is great. The navigation system has been very easy to use and accurate (I did update to the 2016 software). I highly recommend this family vehicle for travelers.
- Fuel Economy: 30+ mpg hiway, 25+ city, nuff said
- Interior Space: Both the cabin and storage area are roomy
- Technology and Entertainment: GPS is quick and accurate, radio/speaker quality very good
- Cabin Noise: The cabin noise is worse than I like.
- Visibility: The rear and side windows are miniscule.
- Power: Would really have preferred a six.
