The 2013 Honda CR-V is part of this crossover's fourth generation of production, which ran from 2012 through 2016. Compared to previous models, the fourth-generation CR-V measures an inch shorter and an inch slimmer without sacrificing any cargo space or legroom in the process. This generation of CR-V models also saw additional insulation compared to previous CR-Vs, allowing for a quieter ride inside the cabin—even in highway conditions. Bluetooth connectivity and a rearview camera also became standard equipment for this generation of CR-V models, and optional equipment like a rear-seat DVD entertainment system became available for the first time.
2013 Honda CR-V Engine Options
The standalone engine on the 2013 CR-V is a 2.4L four-cylinder at 185 hp, which is paired to a five-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive was optional when the 2013 CR-V was sold new.

Reviews for 2013 Honda CR-V
Excellent all around vehicle
We use this for travel to Florida from Northern Virginia as well as shorter vacation trips (Rehoboth Beach, Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, Philadelphia, etc.) and general local travel. It is remarkably roomy and comfortable. Although the motor is "only" a four, I have had not problem getting to eighty mph on the way south and logging 30+ miles per gallon doing it. My model has navigation which means it also has nine speakers and a 300 watt amplifier. The sound is great. The navigation system has been very easy to use and accurate (I did update to the 2016 software). I highly recommend this family vehicle for travelers.
- Fuel Economy: 30+ mpg hiway, 25+ city, nuff said
- Interior Space: Both the cabin and storage area are roomy
- Technology and Entertainment: GPS is quick and accurate, radio/speaker quality very good
- Cabin Noise: The cabin noise is worse than I like.
- Visibility: The rear and side windows are miniscule.
- Power: Would really have preferred a six.
Great car, great price!!
The Honda CR-V handles itself really well when driving, you don't feel like you're in a huge suv, but you feel the safety-ness of a big suv. It's extremely comfortable, easy to lower the back seats down with a flick of a switch.. And who can beat having a DVD player in the car? I was a little nervous about the leather seats, but surprisingly they never get hot in the summer.

Bought because of good reviews
I can't point out anything I like about this car. After running lots of errands and the end of one day I realized I could not drive from LA to Vegas in this car, the seats are very uncomfortable. Horrible rear view window - no front end, no matter how tall you are it sits very low.
- Cabin Noise: Constantly hear the tires
- Power: Kicks down in turns as if you're sitting high up in an SUV but you're down on the ground
- Styling: No front end
- Ride and Handling:
- Seat Comfort: Head rest can't be adjusted - had to be turned around
- Visibility: angle of windshield is horrible, large windshield that allows you to see the sky ?
