Transmission: Automatic Color:Silver Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (5 reviews) I enjoy driving it because it is smooth. The stereo is out of this world. The engine is extremely powerful. The interior is beautiful. My two favorite features is the wood grain trimmed steering wheel and the power rear sunshade. The steering wheel is fun to touch. When it is sunny outside bad you park it out side for a while the trimmed portion is hot but just turn on the ac high for 5 minutes. I have a 6 disk changer which is helpful. Read your manual though because figuring out the lights and wipers is hard at first but once you do it is a piece of cake. As a student at Appalachian State I go home about once a month up and down the mountain and the drive is amazing. People always complement me on my car.

About the Hyundai Azera

Vehicle Summary

The Hyundai Azera has been around, in some form, since 1986. However, it has been frequently rebranded under different names, including the Hyundai Grandeur, in some markets. Today, you'll find the Hyundai Azera for sale only outside of North America, but it proved a top contender in the full-size sedan market for many years. The Azera became most popular in its fifth generation of production, which spanned from 2012 through 2017. A used Hyundai Azera is an excellent choice if you’re on the market for a roomy full-sized sedan with plenty of standard features.

FAQ

Q: Does Hyundai still make the Azera?

A: Today you can find the Hyundai Azera for sale only outside of North America. The vehicle is currently in its sixth generation of production. However, the Azera has not been available in the U.S. since the 2015 model year—largely due to the popularity of the Hyundai Sonata in the United States.

Q: What kind of car is a Hyundai Azera?

A: The Hyundai Azera is a full-size, four-door sedan that offers seating for up to five people.

Q: What kind of mileage does the Hyundai Azera get?

A: Fuel economy for the Hyundai Azera varies based on model year, trim, and engine configuration. For example, the 2014 Azera base trim with 3.3L V6 engine and automatic transmission gets an EPA-estimated 23 mpg combined (19 city and 28 highway).1

Q: Is the Hyundai Azera front-wheel drive?

A: Yes, all model years and trim levels of the Hyundai Azera for sale are available solely with front-wheel drive. All-wheel and four-wheel drive have never been offered on any model year of the Azera.

1Fuel economy figures are based on EPA estimates for when vehicle sold as new. Fuel economy may vary for reasons like driving conditions and vehicle history. Unless specified, figures are for vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission. See fueleconomy.gov.

Hyundai Azera Trim Configurations

A used Hyundai Azera can be found in just two trim configurations: a Base and Limited trim. The following feature descriptions are based on the model year when the Azera was last sold in North America, which was 2015.

Hyundai Azera Base

• 18-inch alloy wheels

• Heated mirrors

• Dual-zone climate control

• Leather upholstery

• Eight-inch touchscreen interface

Hyundai Azera Limited

• Larger 19-inch alloy wheels

• Panoramic sunroof

• Rear parking sensors

• Lane-departure and forward-collision warning systems

• Ambient cabin lighting

Hyundai Azera vs. Other Cars

As a full-sized sedan, the used Hyundai Azera has its fair share of competitors. Explore a few more similar cars to the Azera below:

Hyundai Sonata

The Hyundai Sonata has been advertised as a midsize sedan—and while it does offer seating for up to five passengers (like the Azera), it is noticeably smaller. The 2015 Sonata, however, does come with more trim options (five plus a hybrid, to be exact). The 2015 Azera comes standard with more features than the Sonata and also has a more powerful engine. In the 2015 Azera, for example, a 3.3L V6 engine comes standard. This is compared to the 2015 Sonata's base four-cylinder engine (though a 2.0L turbocharged option is available).

The Sonata does get slightly better fuel economy; in the 2015 Sonata base trim with standard 2.6L engine, the EPA estimate is 28 mpg combined, compared to just 23 mpg combined in the 2015 Azera base trim with 3.3L V6 engine.1

Toyota Avalon

The Toyota Avalon is another contender in the full-size sedan segment, offering spacious seating for up to five passengers and plenty of standard features. In its 2015 model year, it also comes with a 3.5L V6 engine that is more powerful than the Azera's 3.3L V6, though not by much. Drivers may also enjoy that the Avalon comes with more trim configurations, including the XLE, XLE Premium, XLE Touring, Limited, and XLE Touring Sport.

The 2015 Avalon gets slightly better fuel economy than the 2015 Azera, with an EPA-estimated 24 mpg combined in its base trim with 3.5L V6 engine.1

2015 Honda Accord

Another midsize sedan, the Honda Accord offers seating for up to five passengers and is a popular choice among those looking for excellent standard features and a smooth ride. The 2015 Accord is also available in two body styles, including a coupe and a sedan. On top of this, it comes in five trim levels and also comes standard with a 3.5L V6, similar to the 2015 Azera's base 3.3L V6 engine.

The Accord's smaller size also allows for a slightly better fuel economy than the Azera, with the 2015 Accord base trim with 3.5L V6 engine getting an EPA-estimated 25 mpg combined.1

1Fuel economy figures are based on EPA estimates for when vehicle sold as new. Fuel economy may vary for reasons like driving conditions and vehicle history. Unless specified, figures are for vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission. See fueleconomy.gov.

Great Luxury Car at a regular car price

It is a luxury car that doesn't require the luxury price for maintenance or fueling you can use regular unleaded gas and runs great. Has great safety features and runs great this is the second azera i have owned i purposely look for another after my first was in a accident I paid a shipping fee to have it sent to my location. That is how much i love these cars.

Pros

  • Cost to Maintain: a great luxury car cost the same as regular car to maintain

- Donna Knehr, 2010 Hyundai Azera

Great car, worth every penny!

This car has one of the smoothest rides I’ve ever had. It has way more features than you would expect from a Hyundai. Sun shades, panoramic sun roof, heated and cooled seats, etc. and that 3.3 liter V6 has no problem getting you where you need to go in a hurry.

Pros

  • Ride and Handling: So smooth
  • Technology and Entertainment: Sooo many luxury features
  • Styling: Very very sleek look

Cons

  • Dashboard: The Radio/GPS screen could be bigger

- Eric Torres, 2013 Hyundai Azera

This is a near perfect car for a decent price.

I enjoy driving it because it is smooth.

Pros

  • Power: The power is extremely strong and fluent
  • Value: This car is near perfect for a great value.
  • Interior Space: I am a larger man. I have a large upper body and my legs need room. This fulfills it.
