Truck when you need it, CUV if you don't
PROS
Power
2.5 Turbo with the wet DCT is a GREAT combo for acceleration. If you drive the non-turbo, you'll wonder where all the power went, so drive that first, THEN the XRT/Limited with the turbo.
Ride and Handling
This really surprised me with how smooth the ride is, ESPECIALLY with the 20" wheels that come on the limited. Rides better over small (& large) bumps than many luxury cars I've owned/driven. Handling is so superior to any body in frame truck, and even better than the Maverick & Ridgeline, which I also considered.
Technology and Entertainment
Safety features are some of the best in the industry. Bose audio is FANTASTIC, way better than the base system in other trims.
CONS
Fuel Economy
Sort of like Ford EcoBoost vehicles, (or any vehicle with a factory turbo), you can either have Eco, or Boost, but not both. MPGs seriously drop if you have an even slightly heavy foot. Highway cruising mileage is easily 30+, however. Not many "trucks" can do that.
Interior Space
Back seat is not huge, 2 adults can fit back there, but 3 would be a tight squeeze. Legroom if you're a taller driver is not great behind you.
Dashboard
Not enough physical buttons! I know they fixed this in later years, but almost everything is touch on my '22. Kind of annoying when you're moving to hit where you want to touch.
