About the Hyundai Kona

Vehicle Summary

A subcompact SUV is a sensible option if you enjoy the utility and raised profile of an SUV but don't want to sacrifice maneuverability or handling. With a debut for the 2018 model year, the Hyundai Kona is a well-appointed subcompact crossover SUV that offers agile handling and peppy acceleration in a small package. Don't let its size fool you, though; the 2018 Kona still manages to offer 19.2 cubic feet of rear cargo space that can extend to a full 45.8 cubic feet with rear seats folded flat. And with rear seats intact, up to five passengers can sit comfortably.

The Kona is also offered with optional all-wheel drive across each of its four trim levels, plus a turbocharged 1.6L engine on its upper-tier trims for more power behind the wheel. If you've been looking for a small SUV that's fun to drive, versatile, and well equipped, the Kona may be a wise choice.

Enjoy driving it and the cost was OK

It is a dependable and fun vehicle.

Pros

  • Dashboard: easy to use
  • Ride and Handling: Very easy to drive.
  • Seat Comfort: Very comfortable. I am handicapped and this is no problem.

Cons

  • Interior Space: Could have more space
  • Cargo Space: Way too small
  • Power: Really had no con in this section.

Best Car Deal Ever!

PROS: The available product was a little overwhelming as there was such a vast selection of vehicles available. However, the ease of online buying via the 360 interior/exterior view of the vehicle and a complete list of the features/specs made the process very easy and uncomplicated. CONS: Although the vehicle arrived much sooner than expected the only con I had throughout the experience was waiting on it to arrive from Oklahoma to Texas. (smiling).

Pros

  • Ride and Handling: I love how the Hyundai rides and handles on both long/short drives. It does well on wet roads. It also has Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist and Rear View Monitor.
  • Fuel Economy: I've been shocked by the total miles I receive on a full tank with both local and long distance driving.
  • Dashboard: The dashboard is well laid out and very easy to read. So is the touchscreen display. The cargo space is very roomy, especially for taller persons.

Cons

  • Braking: Although the braking system is very good the current pads squeal sometimes which is annoying. I'll probably replace them for a quieter braking experience.
  • Technology and Entertainment: The drivers window automatically goes down but not up.
  • Dashboard: It would be nice to have a CD player as standard to every Model. Everyone is not into modern technology of using cell phones or other external options for music.
