The Hyundai Kona receives high praise for its fuel efficiency, agile handling, and safety features. Customers highlight its modern technology and compact size but note drawbacks like limited cargo and backseat space, as well as noticeable cabin noise. Overall, it’s a well-rounded, reliable choice with sporty performance and stylish design.

Great gas mileage! I didn’t realize how much gas I was putting into my traverse I commute during rush hour so I get slightly less fuel efficiency but still average 25 mpg in city!
Smooth driving! I like that it has regular mode, sports mode, and I can lock AWD during bad weather conditions! I was worried the smaller engine might cause problems but as long as you’re not a chronic speedster, this car gets up and moves pretty well!
I’m single and I have no kids, but I’m a family oriented person! I have helped people move and was able to fit lots of items! I’m able to do a big grocery haul, buy a solid wood dresser and load it up. I’ve road tripped out of town about 2 hours away with 3 people and still had plenty of space!
The seats are not horrible but I do use a seat cushion for long drives at times. The center of the seat could use a little extra cushion!
I rate the technology a 4.5 out of 5 stars! the only thing I don’t like is that the factory hands free tech does not seem to hear me very well when I’m yelling at it. If I ask it to call someone it almost always pulls the wrong name. But utilizing the Apple play, I love it and the hands free works great!
A common thing with the Kona’s is backseat space. If you and your family are on the bigger side (heavyset or over 5’10) it wouldn’t be a car for everyone to ride in. I’m 5’7 and on the heavier side and with my seat position in the drivers side, similar size people cannot fit. This just takes a little rearranging so the smallest person sits behind me, but I can see this being an issue for families or other situations.
