I haven't figured out how to have apple car all the time
I don't know yet.
It's incredibly easy to drive. Very good turning radius, responsive but not-over-sensitive steering, good visibility due to being higher off the ground than most compact cars. Lots of room in the back.
I LOVE its turning radius, much smaller than my Honda Fit's was, and the suspension handles Santa Fe potholes much better.
The visibility is way better than a standard sedan or hatchback because it's higher off the ground, closer to an SUV's height. I've driven ordinary hatchbacks and an SUV and I really love the higher driver's seat viewpoint.
Definitely much more power than my Honda Fit, which was underpowered at sea level and did not love being transported to 7000+ feet of altitude, to the point where I did not feel safe driving it on some New Mexico roads because I couldn't achieve and maintain a safe and consistent speed because the car simply didn't have the power.
Too much interactive distracting stuff on the main console screen (you can turn the display off but you have to deliberately choose to).
I don't need the big multifunction touch-screen (would prefer an old-fashioned console with buttons to control the sound system, etc).
I really am not a fan of the feature where the engine shuts itself off while the car is stopped and starts again the second you take your foot off the brake. I am not at all confident that if I needed to have the car jumpstarted that it wouldn't do this, as if I were driving a manual transmission and stalled it, and immediately need another jumpstart because I hadn't driven it far enough to build up a battery charge. (I previously owned a manual 2020 Soul which needed a new battery after I'd owned it for 3 months, so am not super sanguine about its battery life). I would much rather the engine just stay on when I switch it on and cut off when I tell it to, but I don't know if there's a way to set it to not do this.
