Perfect for my daily commute - handles well, plenty of power for getting around, well appointed, and gets good mileage (27-28 combined) in ECO mode. Roomy enough with the seats down to bring home 10 bags of mulch from the local hardware store. I consider this to be the hatchback I have always wanted, with the added advantage of a higher ride height.

Pros

Power: Plenty of get up and go, even in ECO mode
Fuel Economy: Great mileage for a vehicle of this weight and power
Value: Right in the sweet spot of cost versus features

Cons

Cabin Noise: Lots of wind noise from the side mirrors at highway speed.

My wife and I were driving on an Interstate when a car crossed the median at hit us causing our Sportage to roll over twice. Air bags deployed and we ended up with only some bruises. Our car was totaled. I was so impressed with the safety of this vehicle that I went back to Carmax and and bought another 2014 Kia Spotage.
