Generation Overview

Unveiled originally in December 2013 and then live at the 2014 North American International Auto Show, the Mercedes-Benz C300 introduced the new Modular Rear Architecture platform. Integrating aluminum and high-strength steel throughout the body, the new generation weighted in a svelte 220 pounds less than the previous generation. The C-Class was offered in four different body styles: a sedan, a coupe, a cabriolet and a wagon. However, the wagon was not made available in all models, including the C300. The coupe saw a mid-generation update that was revealed at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, with changes including new engines and some exterior shifts.

Nice Benz for the price

It is a nice value but a little tight upfront. Could use about a couple more feet. Great options.

  • Power: Like the ease of getting more power, with the twist of a button

  • Interior Space: Not enough room if you are standard height.

Luxury comfort

As a 29 year old making the switch from BMW to Mercedes, I lost all sporty aspects of what I enjoyed in my car. I soon realized this is a middle aged comfort car and there is nothing sporty about it at all.

  • Seat Comfort: Soft leather
  • Interior Space: Comfortable for passengers
  • Ride and Handling: Great for traveling

  • Styling: Not sporty
  • Braking: Breaking is softer compared to bmw
  • Power: Does not pick up quickly unless in “sports” mode. Drives like any non luxury car
