Very nice car, but not recommended for everyday use. Driver and the passenger has a snug fit, trunk space is very limited and under Houstons hot summer it will wear down the top very fast. Its a car to keep under cover and fun to drive on the weekends. Its a best two-seater sports car around.

It's the most engaging, best performing car I've ever driven. I get a lot of "I wish that was my car" looks. Most of all it's just a thrill to drive such a well engineered machine. This is a car meant to drive. You can push the limits because it better than you are.
Porsche Boxster Overview
The Porsche Boxster is a convertible that serves as Porsche's entry-level luxury roadster. Porsche worked to make each consecutive Boxster model year more appealing than the last. Though even its oldest models may be a bit pricy, the feature-rich Porsche Boxster is a compelling option for anyone looking to buy a used convertible.
Porsche Boxster History
Porsche introduced the Boxster in 1997.
After three years, Porsche introduced the Boxster S trim level with a more powerful engine.
In 2003, all Boxster trim levels received a styling and engine output refresh.
Porsche later unveiled a more powerful second-generation Boxster in 2005.
In 2009, the Boxster received another cosmetic refresh, with further increases to performance.
The third-generation Boxster was later revealed in the 2012 Geneva Auto Show.
How It Drives
It's no surprise that the Porsche Boxster is a delight to drive. Comfort and features have remained at the heart of the Porsche Boxster's priorities throughout the years. Few other vehicles are able to drive as smoothly as the Boxster, even on older roads. Its superior handling and responsive steering keep the Boxster fun on tight turns. Porsche built each iteration of the Boxster with powerful engines, and they really come in handy for long stretches of road that give you a chance to cruise with the hood down.
Used Porsche Boxster Value
The Porsche Boxster is one of the first entry-level luxury convertibles. It's one of the more affordable Porsche vehicles too, and it balances style and performance well. The value it brings to the table is why the car became extremely successful on the road and in the hands of consumers. Though older models may require more maintenance, used Boxsters also cost roughly the same amount as a newly-released economy car.
This early success has caused competition to increase in the entry-level luxury car segment. As a result, Porsche regularly tweaks the Boxster to better compete with many of its rivals like the Mazda Miata or the Chevrolet Corvette. This means that discrepancies between model years matter a bit more for the Boxster than other car brands; more modern model years are more likely to have the most cutting-edge technology.
Design & Performance
The two-seat Porsche Boxster has been tweaked often to become more compatible with newer cabin technology and adopt modern design trends. All Boxster models are equipped with rear-wheel drive by design. The Boxster only has three trim levels, including:
The base Boxster model, with a feature-rich cabin and quick acceleration.
The higher-trim Boxster S model: This version is Porsche's more performance-oriented vehicle, and is released each year alongside the base Boxster. It generally comes with more powerful engines.
In 2011, the Boxster Spyder was introduced - a lightweight model that also had fewer features, like the sound system, air conditioning, and power-operated top. What it gained in return was more horsepower and sharper handling.
Powertrain & Engine
Throughout its production, the Porsche Boxster was frequently updated to have more powerful engines in all iterations of the vehicle.
The Boxster came with a 2.5L V6 engine initially. The base engine was later upgraded - in 2003, a 2.7L V6 engine became standard across base models.
The Boxster S was built for higher performance; it has a 3.2L V6 engine providing all the power in the vehicle.
In 2007, both engines received a power-up in the VarioCam Plus. It adjusts valve timing for optimal performance, increasing the horsepower significantly for both engines.
In earlier years, a five-speed manual transmission was standard for the Boxster. A five-speed automatic transmission was optional with a configuration to shift gears manually as well.
Body Style & Interior Comfort
The Porsche Boxster is an angular and stylish convertible. Its many features and accessories make it unique, and recent iterations of the vehicle have a crisp style.
Though the Boxster can only seat two people comfortably, the seats and cabin are extremely spacious.
The Boxster's seats strike a good balance between upholstery quality and strong support.
The cabin is typically equipped with the latest features for the corresponding model year.
