- Docb, 2013 Porsche Panamera

LOVE THIS CAR!

I've had my 2011 (Silver) Porsche Panamera for 3 years now, and I couldn't be happier! It is the most beautiful, most comfortable, most incredible car I've ever owned. Period. I get compliments on it sitting at stoplights, in the grocery store parking lot, pretty much everywhere I go. I've seen people take photos of it when it's parked, as well as when I'm driving down the interstate. That's pretty flattering... and actually kind of awesome! My Panamera is quiet and provides a smooth, comfortable ride, while also giving great acceleration and performance. I want my car to reliably GO when I step on the accelerator to pull out into traffic, and the Panamera doesn't disappoint. It stops on a dime, and handles like a dream. The steering and accelerator are both extremely responsive, making the car really fun to drive. It feels like I'm in complete control all the time. There's no slack or play in the steering, and no hesitation when I accelerate. A reliably exquisite driving experience every time! If I have a complaint, which I really don't, it's that it took a while to get used to the door locking mechanism. The doors are always locked, even when I'm sure I've unlocked them. I pull in to my garage, get out of the driver's door, and try to open the back door or trunk to get my groceries, and the doors are locked. Every time. Or I let my husband out in front of a store, circle around the parking lot, and pull back in to pick him up. I click the door (un)lock button and the passenger door is still locked. Sometimes it takes 3 clicks to unlock the door. Very frustrating.. to the point of hilarity at times. As with the other German cars I've owned (BMW 6-series convertible and BMW 7-series sedan), a ton of engineering goes in to this car.. Some of the car settings are done using buttons on the steering wheel, and going through a series of menus. Those menus, as well as the center console and dash controls, aren't necessarily intuitive, but they work fine once you figure them out and get used to them. Sometimes I think things are a bit over-engineered, but that's just a personal opinion from someone who gets frustrated when the doors don't unlock on the first click. All things considered, this is THE single most awesome car I've ever owned! I'm a Porsche convert, for sure! With the Panamera's reliable performance, great looks, and the most fun driving experience ever, I can easily imagine myself buying another Panamera, and another, and another for the rest of my life! (Or perhaps living in the one I have if I can't unlock the door to get out).. I LOVE THIS CAR!
