Generation Overview

The 2019 Toyota Sienna is part of this minivan's third generation of production, which debuted in 2011. When the third-generation Sienna made its debut, it had a four-cylinder engine option and a six-speed automatic transmission. By the 2019 model year, the standard engine upgraded to a standalone 3.5L V6 with an eight-speed automatic. 2019 was also the first year that all-wheel drive became optional on SE trim models. In terms of tech features, 2019 also saw the introduction of standard Apple CarPlay technology for smartphone users.

2019 Toyota Sienna Engine Options

Every 2019 Toyota Sienna is outfitted with a punchy 3.5L V6 engine good for 296 hp. An eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive is standard on every model, although all-wheel drive was optional on all but the base L trim when this minivan was first sold.
