2018 Audi S6 features turbocharged V8 power and standard all-wheel drive
With a 450-horsepower turbocharged V8 and standard all-wheel drive, the 2018 Audi S6 is a luxury sport sedan that’s speedy and delivers tenacious grip. Based on the A6 sedan, the 2018 S6 is available in two trims, Premium Plus and Prestige. In keeping with its status as the highest-performing version of the A6 lineup, every S6 includes a sportier and firmer suspension, beefier brakes, and an eight-speed automatic transmission that routes power to all four wheels.
The S6 is designed to be cool and collected, a luxury sport sedan that won’t rattle you over rough roads or deafen you with a roaring exhaust. On the other hand, if you crave driving thrills, the buttoned-down demeanor of the S6 might leave you a little cold. There is little to fault in the elegant interior, however. Audi’s MMI® infotainment system is attractive and has clear-cut menus. The trunk measures in at 14.1 cubic feet, which is about average for a luxury sedan in this segment.

What We Like
Everyday usability: While it has 450 horsepower and delivers excellent acceleration, the Audi S6 is sedate enough to be your everyday luxury sedan. The ride is smooth and the automatic transmission delivers crisp and immediate shifts.
Interior quality: Audi has created a cabin that’s spacious and has the premium feel you expect from a luxury-branded sport sedan. There’s ample room in the first and second rows, and nowhere will you find poor quality trim pieces used in the interior.
User-friendly tech: The MMI infotainment system takes only a minute or two to master its commands and various menus. Clear graphics and rapid response times make this interface a delight to use.
What Needs Improvement
Competitors are more fun to drive: It’s rare that we’d criticize a vehicle for being too well behaved. Yet that’s the case with the Audi S6. The handling lacks the sharpness and fun-to-drive nature that you get in many rivals.
