5 reasons to buy the 2016 Porsche 911
1. Balanced handling
Perhaps surprisingly for its class, the 2016 Porsche 911 cuts down on gas station stops with balanced performance. The base 350 hp 3.4L Carrera model achieves an EPA-estimated 23 combined mpg, which is as impressive as basically everything else about this vehicle. This just gives you one less thing to think about when taking the step to buy a luxury sports car like the 2016 Porsche 911.
2. Engine options
There are various engine options for the 2016 Porsche 911. The Carrera, Carrera 4, and Targa 4 trims all make use of a 3.4L engine that produces 350 hp. This is plenty of power for most, but the S and 4S trims boost this to a 3.8L engine producing 400hp. The Carrera S and GTS increase the output to 430hp. Whether you're looking for a daily cruiser or a performance machine, there's a 911 out there for you.
3. Comfort level
The Porsche 911 has long boasted a luxurious cabin and that remains the case for the 2016 model. The interior is stylish with comfortable and supportive seats. Partial leather upholstery and four-way power-adjustable front sports seats come as standard, but keep an eye out for models with the available full leather upholstery and 18-way power adjustments.
4. Colors
One of the underrated benefits of buying a luxury sports car is how many cool and fun colors there are. The 2016 Porsche 911 comes with all the expected blacks, whites, and silvers, but also a lot of jazzier tones. These include Lime Gold Metallic, Sapphire Blue Metallic, Racing Yellow, Guards Red, Mahogany Metallic, and the excitingly named Lava Orange.
5. Exciting convertible option
The convertible Cabriolet 2016 Porsche 911 is such a boon in the summer. Some of the issues that normally exist for a convertible don’t exist in the 2016 Porsche 911, including the fact that you don’t lose space that the roof would normally take up because the trunk is in the front. The convertible 2016 Porsche 911 also features automatically deploying rollover bars that would normally remain hidden behind the rear seats, which is an interesting touch. This convertible version is one of three body options, the others being coupe and Targa, which has a power-retractable fabric roof that's smaller than the Cabriolet's convertible roof.
