2021 Porsche 911 is an unrivaled sports car
The 2021 Porsche 911 comes in a ludicrous number of trims with a similarly ridiculous number of available options. There's good news for those suffering from choice paralysis: The Porsche 911 is a splendid sports car whether in standard Carrera trim or optioned all the way up to Turbo S. There's not a bad way to drive this luxury German machine.
Redesigned for 2020, the 911 retains a rear-mounted, turbocharged flat-six cylinder engine that creates gobs of power. It's available in rear-wheel or all-wheel drive and as a coupe or convertible. The Targa splits the difference between a soft-top convertible and a hard-top coupe, is available exclusively in all-wheel drive and returned to the fray for 2021. The Turbo trim also joined the party for 2021.
If there's a weakness on the 911, it's technology. The updated touchscreen is just out of comfortable reach and the buttons are a bit small. Still, for one of the best sports cars money can buy, that's a small quibble. The 911 is nearly perfect.

What We Like
Performance: You can go from 0-60 mph in as little as 3 seconds when properly equipped, and handling is a dream. The steering wheel is properly weighted, allowing you to feel confident while making high-speed turns. This is a seriously fun car to drive whether at highway speeds or around town.
Interior: The updated interior is very modern with high-quality materials and excellent build quality. The addition of more electronic features does not diminish the traditional feel of the 911, and while it's certainly a snug sports car, there's plenty of room for taller passengers, at least in the front.
Comfort: The suspension is definitely tuned for sporty driving, but not so much that it makes for an uncomfortable ride. Seats are highly adjustable, making it easy to find a comfortable driving position. Road noise is about what you'd expect to find in a sports car: loud, but not grating.
What Needs Improvement
Tech: Apple CarPlay® comes standard, but the lack of Android Auto™ is disappointing. The touchscreen is also a bit small and not in a convenient location for use while driving. That's a shame because more controls have been moved to the screen and away from physical buttons.
