5 reasons to buy the 2015 Porsche 911
1. GTS trim
There are a few exciting new additions to the 2015 Porsche 911 line-up. Look out for the optional rearview camera, as well as the new GTS trim level. This new trim has a 3.8L engine producing 430 hp, and adds adaptive headlights, adaptive suspension, and a sport exhaust.
2. Comfort
Maybe it goes without saying that a luxury sports car would be comfortable, but it’s certainly true of the 2015 Porsche 911. There’s enough space even for tall occupants (with 39.7 inches of headroom), as well as firm, well-padded seats. They’re nicely bolstered to keep you in place when going around sharp turns, and it’s worth checking for leather upholstery when shopping, as it was an available option when new.
3. Balanced fuel economy
The mpg for the 2015 Porsche 911 is very respectable, despite how powerful this vehicle is. The base Carrera and Carrera 4 with the 350 hp 3.4L engine achieve an EPA-estimated 23 combined mpg.
Even the top trim does well mpg-wise; the 400 hp 3.8L 4S trim with the manual transmission achieves an EPA-estimated 21 combined mpg.4. Engine options
There are various engine configurations for the 2015 Porsche 911, and it’s worth paying close attention to these when shopping. The base 3.4L Carrera engine produces 350 hp, the 3.8L Carrera S gets 400 hp, the 3.8L Carrera GTS produces 430 hp, and the 3.8L GT3 manages 475. For even more impressive power that really makes the 2015 Porsche 911, the Turbo and Turbo S produce 520 and 560 hp respectively. Incredible, the Turbo S can get from zero-to-60 in just 2.9 seconds.
5. Great features
The 2015 Porsche 911 comes with some strong base features. The standard Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system is an easy-to-use infotainment system with a seven-inch touchscreen, controlling the nine-speaker audio system, navigation, and Bluetooth® connectivity. If you find an upgraded model, you might be lucky enough to acquire a 12-speaker Bose or Burmester sound system.
